A Little Herbal Magic from the Apothecary
Back in my little herbal kitchen, stirring up something earthy, dark, and wonderfully old-fashioned…
I’ve made my own Herbal Drawing Salve — a rich, grounding blend traditionally used to soften the skin and encourage minor irritations and trapped debris to make their way closer to the surface.
This little jar is packed with plant goodness and old herbal traditions:
-Calendula-infused oils — gentle, soothing and lovingly infused
-Activated charcoal — traditionally used in topical preparations for its cleansing, adsorptive qualities
-Bentonite clay — an earthy clay often used to absorb excess oils and impurities
-Beeswax — gives the salve its beautiful protective, balm-like texture
-Herbal-infused oils — slowly infused to draw out the goodness of the plants
Think tiny splinters, minor bumps, insect stings and little skin irritations — the kinds of things our herbal ancestors may have reached for, a simple salve to help care for.
There’s something magical about taking simple ingredients from the earth and turning them into something useful with your own two hands.
No fancy laboratory.
No complicated ingredients.
Just herbs, earth, beeswax, oil, intention… and a little bit of witchy kitchen magic.
For external use only. This salve is for minor skin care and isn’t intended to treat serious infections, deep wounds, or abscesses.
