The Bridge Youth & Family Services

The Bridge Youth & Family Services We embrace the Okanagan community with two distinct arms of service. Our other arm of service includes our recovery and addictions programs.

For more than 50 years, The Bridge Youth & Family Services has been strengthening lives across the Okanagan through compassionate, evidence-based mental health, family support and recovery services. Since inception, we have focused on community and families by working preventatively with new parents and their infants, counselling families who are struggling with their role, and working on behalf o

The Bridge is the largest provider of substance use services for the Interior Health Authority, we provide Supported Recovery Housing, Intensive Live-In Youth & Adult Treatment, community-based naloxone training, Outreach Overdose Prevention, and Withdrawal Management – detox – for both young people and adults. You are not alone, and we are here to help. Please note, we have a few different locations for our programs and services:

Overdose does not discriminate.

It can affect people of every age, background, profession and neighbourhood.

Behind every statistic is someone's child, parent, sibling, friend or colleague.

Reducing stigma starts with the words we choose and the compassion we show. When people feel safe asking for help, lives can be saved.

Let's replace judgment with understanding and create communities where people know they belong and where support is within reach.

August is Overdose Awareness Month.

For 25 years, communities around the world have come together to remember those we've lost, support those who grieve, and work toward a future where overdose deaths are prevented.

This year's theme, "25 Years On. Still Needed." is both a reflection and a call to action. While we have made progress, overdose continues to affect individuals, families and communities across Canada.

Throughout August, we'll be sharing information, stories and resources to help reduce stigma, encourage compassion, and remind everyone that recovery is possible and every life matters.

Together, we can help build a future where this day is no longer needed.
