What happens when a school, a community, and a great cause come together? 🩷🏃‍♂️

Last week, we had the privilege of joining Chief Tomat Elementary as they hosted the first ever event in BC! Run Wild, a program created by Leading Edge Physiotherapy, helps schools promote healthy living while raising awareness and funds for their local Child Advocacy Centre. As part of the Leading Edge family, our Sun City team was proud to be there cheering students on every step of the way.

From the pep rally to the cheering stations, unicorn costumes, crazy wigs, and even taping a teacher to the wall, the energy was absolutely contagious. Together, this incredible school raised over $1,300 for the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre of Kelowna, helping support local children and families when they need it most.

While we’re sad the Kelowna Rockets’ season didn’t end the way we had hoped, we’re incredibly proud of what this team accomplished and the excitement they brought to our city. As a long-time supporter of the & local sport, it was an honour to cheer them on and take in such an incredible event right here in Kelowna.

Kendra ⭐️ one of the amazing physios on our team at SCP.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll probably find her on the softball field competing in the Lake Country Ladies Orthodox League. Kendra loves working with masters athletes and active adults because she understands what it takes to stay active, keep doing what you love, and how much having the right support behind you truly makes a difference.

Voting closes today at 3 PM for Best of Kelowna, and we’re incredibly proud to see Delaney Twerdohlib recognized in the Best Kinesiologist category.

We’ve always known the impact she has within our clinics, but it’s really special seeing that reflected back by the community as well.

Kinesiology is one of the fastest-growing allied health professions in BC, helping support injury recovery, post-MVA rehabilitation, chronic pain management, healthy aging, athletic performance, and overall quality of life through movement and exercise-based care.

Delaney brings so much passion for movement, health, and helping people feel confident in their bodies again. Along with an energy and personality that makes people feel supported from the moment they walk through our doors.

We’re so grateful to have her as part of our team and excited to continue growing kinesiology services within our clinics and community.

We’re so excited to officially introduce (and reintroduce) Katie ☀️

Katie started with us at the front of house, where she quickly became such a valued part of our team. It didn’t take long before her curiosity and drive to keep learning led her to take the next step — and now she’s back with us in the Lower Mission clinic as a Physiotherapy Assistant.

We love watching our team grow from within, and Katie is such a great example of that. She brings warmth, humour (yes, she’s a reality TV fan), and a genuine care for our clients into everything she does.

Our team is stronger because of people like her and we’re so happy our clients get to experience that every day.
