Summer Mid-Season Reset – Days 2 & 3 💚💦🌿
These past couple of days have been all about nourishing our bodies, staying hydrated, and moving in ways that make us feel alive.
As I watch Jasper (my son's Golden Retriever) joyfully romping through Mill Creek, I can't help but smile. He doesn't overthink wellness. He simply lives it.
He runs.
He splashes.
He drinks.
He plays.
He rests.
He loves every minute.
He is completely present... and absolutely radiating joy.
It made me realize that maybe wellness isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about returning to the simple things that help us feel our best.
This week I've found myself adding fresh lime and mint to my morning water... yum! 🍋🌿
I'm munching on fresh raw yellow beans and sweet green peas straight from the garden.
And yes... I'm halfway through my third watermelon in just two weeks! 🍉
Sometimes I feel like I've had enough glasses of water, so instead... I eat my water! It's delicious, refreshing, and my body loves it.
Then there are the walks. Lots of walks. Thanks to dog-sitting Jasper, we're out exploring several times a day. We get hot and sticky, then wander down to Mill Creek where the cool water washes over our feet, the sounds calm my mind, and my soul takes a deep breath.
Movement doesn't have to be intense.
Hydration doesn't have to be boring.
Nourishment doesn't have to be complicated.
Sometimes wellness looks like a creek, a watermelon, a handful of garden vegetables, and a dog reminding us how to embrace every moment with pure joy.
What have you done this week to nourish yourself, hydrate your body, or move in a way that made your soul smile? I'd love to hear. 💚
