Long time Big White Ski Patroller Heather Moore was acknowledged with the Terry Britton Memorial Award in acknowledgment of her long standing contribution to the Mountain Medical Society (the hut). Many special thanks to Heather for continuing to serve the facility and for continuing to preserve the knowledge and history of the organization,

Steve Benjamin was acknowledged with the Darryl Boehm Award. Created in memory of Darryl Boehm this award is presented to a patroller who has the knack of fitting in with everybody. Steve is always willing to go above and beyond and is the first to step in to help anyone in need. Steve embodies the character that makes ski patrol work and the zone wishes to thank him.

2025/26 saw the return of a Junior Patrol program to the Ogopogo Zone and the zone acknowledged this years inaugural participant Liam Erbiceanu with a zone appreciation award. Liam was an exceptional choice for a return to a junior patrol as his engagement and dedication to the program was 100%. We very much look forward to next years program.

Congratulations to Michael Buckler as the New Patroller of the year for the Ogopogo Zone of CSP! Michael really stepped into patrol in his rookie year logging 20 shifts! Well respected and instantly competent Michael established himself as a key patroller for Ogopogo Zone, thank you Michael!

Congratulations to Nic Shewchenko for being recognized as the Most Improved Skier of 2025/26 patrol season! It took a lot of turns to etch his name into an award this season and Nic’s efforts to improve were worth it, well done Nic!

The Bob Crosthwaite lifetime achievement winner Don Silverman is stepping away from active alpine patrolling after the 2025/26 season and the zone is delighted to acknowledge his contributions both locally and from his tenure at the National Level. Thank you Don for all you have contributed to the Canadian Ski Patrol!
