Meet Latesha. Her favourite song is Mountain Sound.

Originally from Canada’s East Coast, she completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland before earning her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University.

She began her occupational therapy career in acute care, working with orthopedic and neurosurgical populations, before fostering her passion for working with pediaterics. For the past three years, she has had the privilege of supporting children and their families as they work toward meaningful goals and build confidence in their everyday lives.

She believes that play is at the heart of childhood and one of the most powerful ways children learn, grow, and connect with the world around them. Her approach to therapy is play-based, collaborative, and family-centered. She loves finding creative ways to help children develop new skills while ensuring therapy feels engaging, motivating, and fun. Whether they’re working on motor skills, self-care, emotional regulation, or participation in daily activities, her goal is to help each child feel successful and empowered.

She brings a strong background in movement and development, along with a genuine enthusiasm for helping children reach their full potential. She feels building meaningful relationships with children and families is one of the most rewarding parts of herwork, and feels grateful to be part of their journey.

When not at work, you’ll likely find her baking, hiking, paddleboarding, camping, or going for a run. She also dances with an adult hip-hop team, which combines her love of movement, creativity, and community. Most of all, she enjoys spending quality time with my partner, friends, and the people who matter most her most.
