Your aftercare is just as important as your laser treatment.
Avoiding heat, sun exposure, and harsh skincare gives your skin the best chance to heal properly, minimizes the risk of complications, and helps you achieve the best possible results.

*â No direct sun exposure for at least 1â2 weeks (or as directed).
*â No tanning (including self-tanners until the skin has healed).
* â No hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, or steam rooms for 24â48 hours.
* â No intense exercise for 24â48 hours to minimize heat and inflammation.
* â No retinol, tretinoin, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, or exfoliants until your provider clears you.
* â No picking, peeling, or scratching flaking skin.
* â No waxing, threading, or depilatory creams on the treated area until fully healed.
* â No harsh facial scrubs or cleansing brushes.
* â No fragranced or irritating skincare if your skin feels sensitive.
* â No swimming in chlorinated pools or lakes for the first 24â48 hours (especially if the skin barrier is compromised).
* â Donât apply makeup immediately if your provider has advised waiting (often 24 hours for more intensive treatments).
* â Donât ignore unusual symptoms. If you experience severe blistering, increasing pain, or signs of infection, contact your provider.
