What a treat it was to hear Bri on the cello, accompanied by Lu on the fiddle, at Open Mic Night at The Wick Restaurant.
Last night brought together so many talented musicians, with such a wonderful variety of instruments, voices and musical styles. Every performance brought something different to the evening, and this was another beautiful moment I was glad to capture and share.
There’s something special about live local music and the way it brings people together. 💜

When Technology Tests Your Patience 😅

Yesterday was one of those days. Pop-ups, things disappearing, clicking the wrong thing, and more than once wondering, “What on earth did I just do?” 😂

But it reminded me of something: struggling with technology doesn’t mean we’re incapable. Sometimes we simply haven’t learned it yet.

It’s okay to get frustrated, ask for help, or walk away and come back later.

Every challenge teaches us something we didn’t know yesterday.

Keep learning. Keep growing. And occasionally, laugh at yourself along the way. 💜

Someone Saw It Before I Did 😂🎸

A while ago, after one of our peer-to-peer workshops facilitated by TechConnex at YSpace, I was chatting with Ryan Ellis from TechConnex.

I mentioned that since I started writing my own songs, I'd also begun taking vocal and music lessons.

Ryan said, “I see you with a guitar.”

My response?

“Nah, not me.” 😂

Well... I tried the ukulele, exchanged it for a guitar, and now I actually find myself wanting to practise.

Ryan, apparently you saw Guitar Jacinta before I did. 😂🎸

It also made me think about how sometimes other people see possibilities in us before we recognise them ourselves.

I'm grateful to Ryan Ellis and Kelly Phillips from TechConnex, and Stephanie from YSpace, for the peer-to-peer workshops and the conversations, learning and growth that have come from them.

Sometimes you don't notice how much you've grown until you stop and look back.

And apparently sometimes you discover...

💜 Watching a Dream Become Reality

There is something incredibly special about watching someone you care about grow, believe in themselves, and step into a new chapter of their life.

Today, I had the privilege of celebrating Felicia at the grand opening of Divine Zoe Massage Therapy. 🎉

Having witnessed part of her journey over the past year, this moment meant so much more to me than simply watching a ribbon being cut. I saw confidence, courage, growth and a dream becoming reality.

Felicia, I am incredibly proud of you and everything you have accomplished. 💜

May Divine Zoe be a place where many people experience the care, healing and beautiful energy you have to share.
