What I Don’t Buy Elsewhere Anymore 💛

I’ve been shopping here since September 2023, and it occurred to me recently just how many everyday things I used to pick up at the grocery store, pharmacy or wherever I happened to be shopping that I rarely buy anywhere else anymore.

My supplements, laundry and cleaning products, dishwasher detergent, dish soap and hand soap all come from the same place now.

So do many of my hair products—dry shampoo, purple shampoo, conditioner, detangler, hairspray, mousse and gel. Then there’s sunscreen, bug spray, essential oils and, of course, my lip gloss. 💛

It didn’t happen overnight. Over the past three years, I’ve tried different things, found the ones I love, and they’ve simply become part of our everyday life.

Now, when we’re getting low on something, I add it to my shopping list. I’m not buying more than I normally would. I’ve simply changed where I buy so many of the things we already use.

I’ve never looked back. I’m still shopping, still discovering new favourites and still sharing the things I genuinely love. 💛

Why can the people who know us best sometimes bring out the strongest emotions?

Sibling relationships can be complicated. Even as adults, old family roles, comparisons, and unresolved feelings can influence how we connect with one another.

Sometimes understanding those patterns is the first step toward changing them.

Just because something feels familiar doesn’t mean it’s good for us.

Sometimes we find ourselves making the same choices, reacting in the same ways, or holding on to beliefs that no longer serve us.

And often, we don’t even realize we’re doing it.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that we can’t change what we aren’t willing to recognize.

That’s part of what inspired me to write Breaking the Chains.

Because sometimes the biggest changes in our lives begin with seeing things differently.

There’s something pretty special about seeing an idea become something you can actually hold. 💜

Between Sisters started with two sisters, two very different perspectives, and a lifetime of stories.

Now it has grown into our Between Sisters Guided Journal and Notebook all created around something Ellen and I have come to appreciate more and more: the importance of connection, conversation and the memories we share.

And although we call it Between Sisters, it isn’t just for sisters. It’s for any special woman in your life — a best friend, daughter, mother, aunt, cousin, or someone who simply feels like a sister to you.

Not Every Product Is for Everyone 💛

One thing I’ve learned since I started shopping here in September 2023 is that we definitely don’t love all the same things in our house.

My husband has his favourites. Activate-C, FiberWise and Peak Performance Heart Health are three he really likes. He’s incredibly diligent about taking them too—much more than I am! 😂 He does not like to go without them.

But when it came to some of the men’s products, like the body wash and deodorant, he wasn’t nearly as impressed.

And you know what? That’s okay.

Some of the things he could take or leave are products I really enjoy. It just goes to show that not everyone is going to love every product. We all have different preferences.

That’s part of the fun of trying things and discovering what works for you. You don’t know what will become a favourite until you give it a try.

After three years, we’ve both found the things we keep coming back to—and apparently my husband is much better at sticking to his routine than I am. 😂💛

Cold and flu season rolls around and suddenly it feels like everyone is coughing. 😂

That’s when Activate-C becomes a regular around our house. Enzo and I have been adding it to our daily wellness routine for the past couple of years, and my granddaughter loves it too.

Orange or raspberry, add it, mix it, drink it. Easy.

No complicated routine—just one of those little things that has earned a regular spot in our home. 💛
