Have those difficult conversations. Inform, educate and advise.
Talk about body image, bullying, consent, unsafe adults, unhealthy relationships, risks of social media, mental health warning signs, drugs and safety. Talk openly about race, culture, discrimination, gender, equality, rights, body autonomy, etc.
When we do it in an age appropriate way, it’s not “scary” because it comes from a grounded, safe and trusted adult.
