Reconnect. (These aren’t “healing hacks.”
They’re gentle invitations to return home to yourself.)
Your body is not something to fix. It’s someone to get to know. 💙🙏🏾!
One of the biggest shifts in my own personal practice has been moving away from asking, “How do I heal this?” to asking, “How do I connect?”
Because connection comes before discernment.
If we can’t notice what is happening in the present moment, how do we begin to distinguish what belongs to today from what belongs to our past? Our inner wisdom, intuition, and quiet knowing are often drowned out by a nervous system that’s trying to protect us.
Sometimes, connection looks surprisingly simple:
💧 Run cool water over your wrists.
🌬️ Take a few slow, intentional breaths.
💦 Splash cool water on your face.
🤲🏾 Massage your temples or the space between your eyebrows.
🧠 Release tension at the base of your skull.
🦵🏾 Rest your legs up a wall.
🙆🏾♀️ Stretch your neck and shoulders.
🫁 Practice belly breathing.
👀 Step away from your screen for a few moments.
Again, these aren’t “healing hacks.”
They’re gentle invitations to return home to yourself.
The goal isn’t to make your body stop speaking.
The goal is to become quiet enough to hear its whispers.
What is one way you reconnect with your body today?
