Out of Office 💕

I’m taking a little time to rest, recharge, and soak up some quality time with my favourite humans.

I’ll be away August 2–10 and will have very limited access to my phone and email during that time.

See you soon, refreshed and ready to get back to helping you move and feel your best. 💕

A client said something to me recently that I haven’t stopped thinking about:

“I trust you.”

Such a simple sentence, but it meant more than they probably realized.

As a physiotherapist, I can spend hours learning, assessing, planning treatment, and guiding someone through recovery. But none of that truly works without trust.

Trust is what allows someone to share the parts they’ve been nervous to talk about.

Trust is what helps someone try a movement they’ve been avoiding.

Trust is what makes someone feel safe enough to ask questions, express fears, and be honest about what’s working — and what isn’t.

Especially in pelvic health and women’s health physiotherapy, trust is never something I take lightly.

When a client tells me they trust me, it reminds me that this work is about so much more than exercises or treatment plans. It’s about creating a space where someone feels heard, respected, supported, and safe.

That kind of trust is earned over time, and I don’t take it for granted.

So to every client who has trusted me with their story, their body, their recovery, and their goals: thank you.
It is one of the greatest privileges of my job, and a reminder of why I love what I do.

Rant incoming!
Does everyone need to do pelvic floor contractions once they turn 40? The short answer- no.
The longer answer is a bit more complicated, but take a listen and let me know what you think!

June, you were pretty great 🤍

This month reminded me that while I absolutely love being a physiotherapist, my career is only one part of who I am.
For so long, so much of my identity was wrapped up in my work. But lately, I’ve been intentionally making space to rediscover the other parts of me—the runner, the adventurer, the friend, the traveller, the person who feels most at peace outside, and the woman who’s still growing every single day.

I’ve learned that taking time for yourself isn’t taking away from your work—it allows you to show up more fully for the people you care about, including your patients.

This June was full of movement, laughter, quiet moments, new memories, and little reminders that life is meant to be lived, not just worked through.

Here’s to celebrating every version of ourselves, not just the one tied to our job title. Because we are so much more than what we do.

Cheers to finding joy in all the different parts of who we are. 💛

Today I completed my first 30-minute run at my regular pace since my fall on the ice back in February.

If you’ve ever come back from an injury, you know that recovery is rarely a straight line. There were days when progress felt painfully slow, days when I questioned whether I’d ever feel like myself again, and days when simply showing up was the victory.

But that’s the thing about healing—it happens one small step at a time.

Slow and steady may not be the most exciting path, but it’s often the most effective. Consistency, patience, and trusting the process can take you farther than trying to rush your way back.

Today wasn’t just about a run. It was a reminder that sometimes we don’t realize how far we’ve come until we look back at where we’ve been. What once felt impossible is now part of my journey forward.

Here’s to celebrating the small wins, respecting the process, and remembering that progress is still progress—even when it feels slow.

Happy Global Running Day!

Today we celebrate every runner—the ones chasing a personal best, the ones training for their first 5K, the weekend warriors, the trail adventurers, and the parents squeezing in a few kilometres between life’s busy moments.

Running is about so much more than pace, distance, or race medals. It’s about movement, resilience, confidence, community, and discovering what your body is capable of.

As a physiotherapist, one of my favourite things is helping runners stay strong, move well, and continue doing what they love. Whether you’re logging your first kilometre or your hundredth of the month, every step counts.

So lace up your shoes, get outside, and celebrate the incredible gift of movement today.

Tell me: What are you running toward this year? 👇
