September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Today, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. We also recognize the lasting impacts of residential schools and the importance of listening, learning, and reflecting on Canada's history.

Sometimes it looks like sitting at the kitchen table over a cup of tea and having someone to talk to.

Companionship matters.

Social connection can be an important part of supporting well-being as we age, especially for older adults living alone or experiencing changes in their social circles.

Care isn't always about doing something for someone.

Michael and Marie had a wonderful time at the Together for Care Fashion Show, joining the K-W Business Women’s Association (Donni Rasmussen - Valdemar Designs Inc., Destiny Moser - FoodZen, Elizabeth Uffelman Wing - Ontario Seed Co. Ltd Delia Simu - Loving Health Clinic) for an evening supporting the WRHN Foundation.

Always nice to see so many familiar faces from across our Waterloo Region community come together, have some fun and support local health care at the same time.

Thank you to everyone behind the scenes who made this evening happen!

📅 SAVE THE DATE: Senior Health Fair in Waterloo! ❤️

We’re looking ahead to November! Promyse Home Care will be joining the Senior Health Fair at the Community Pavilion in Waterloo.

📅 Thursday, November 5
⏰ 2–6 p.m.
📍 Community Pavilion, Waterloo

The fair will feature 40+ vendors, six presentations, free fitness classes, health clinics and demonstrations, with a focus on helping older adults stay healthy, active and connected. Caregivers are welcome too!

Nighttime can sometimes be the most challenging part of caring for an aging loved one.

Frequent bathroom trips, mobility concerns, confusion, wandering or disrupted sleep can leave family caregivers exhausted and worried about safety.
