Tamitik Status of Women (TSW) offers a diverse range of programs and services to address the needs of individuals and families in the Kitimat and Kitamaat Village community Now, we are an active agency that provides programs and services for individuals and families in our community. TSW promotes safety, equity, and wellness for all members of our community by providing inclusive, low barrier supp
orts. We are committed to uplifting those most affected by poverty, violence, and systemic barriers through programs rooted in compassion, collaboration, and justice. Our vision is a vibrant, inclusive community where everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive โ free from violence, poverty, and discrimination. All our services are free, to be as low-barrier as possible, and to ensure successful engagement with the communityโs most vulnerable and often most apprehensive populations. TSW was incorporated in December 1996, and is governed by a constitution and bylaws under the oversight of a dedicated Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and alignment with our organizational goals.
