An end to the LCMT era as we know it. :(

Sad to be closing shop so soon and before I really had the opportunity to showcase my MOT skills.

It was an amazing 3 years and I have to thank my clients ( and those who referred to me) from the bottom of my heart for supporting me these last few years faithfully, enough so that I was able to not take many new clients past my first 6 months here, it was so lovely to be able to get to know my clients who became friends.
Truly I could not have done it without you all. I'm sorry to those who never got in to see me.

So many mixed emotions with listing our home.

I can't explain how greatful I am for the love and support to me and La Crete Massage Therapy, and the kindness of the community. After 3 years of being a part of the community and clients becoming friends it is definitely difficult, but Lord willing our next chapter I will be able to find community at least half as good ❤️

Manual Osteopathic Therapy (MOT)
What is it? and Why should I care?
Manual Osteopathic Therapy was founded by A.T. Still in 1874 as an alternative modality to allopathic medicine. Manual Osteopathy is founded on 4 principles; that the body works as a single entity, structure impacts and is interrelated with function, the body has self governing means, and the body has the capability to protect, repair and regenerate itself to preserve function.
Overall Manual Osteopathic Therapy aims to allow the body to function to its best by ensuring there is adequate “flow” through the body (arterial and venous, lymph, etc). If the body has areas of stagnation where the flow of nutrients and waste is reduced for any reason pathology tends to set in. MOT helps to maintain flow by addressing the body as a whole in an effort to treat the root cause of an issue, often times the root cause being far from the area of symptoms (pain) and dysfunction.
MOT is very gentle yet profound treatment with the intent to create safety within the body and allow for positive change, some aspects causing immediate change and others laying groundwork for the body to repair itself. Areas that Manual Osteopathic therapists work in are the skeletal system, Fascial, Lymphatic and Visceral recognising that all these systems work together and can affect the other.

Who is MOT for?
MOT is a gentle enough treatment that most everyone is able to benefit from treatment. Ideally treatment is sought out before the body makes permanent compensations for dysfunction but can help symptom manage chronic compensations.

Until further notice massage therapy services are suspended as I focus on my Manual Osteopathic Therapy (MOT) Diploma, more to come on that in the coming days as to what that means for you all.

LCMT has a new mascot..Fia!

To clients with dog allergies/fears I just wanted to give you a heads up. My treatment room is off limits to Fia as is most of the house as she will be an outside dog when she's a little bigger.
