Apparently, we’ve collectively decided we need more bodywork.

I fully support this decision.

Birthday week is almost over, and apparently my birthday turned into a whole lot of warm oil. Which honestly feels very on brand.

We’re moving into fall now, and this is always the season when I find myself coming back to the simple things.

Warm food. Earlier nights. More routine. More oil. More bodywork. More time doing the things that already make me feel really good.

Not because anything is wrong.

Life can be good. You can be doing really well. And you can still desire more of the things that make an already good life feel even better.

So, before the birthday menu disappears on Saturday, I added a few more ways to get yourself on my table:

Two Ayurvedic bodywork sessions for $444
You save $150.

Three Shirodhara treatments for $400
You save $200.

Three 90-minute Abhyanga massages for $400
You save $200.

And for my choose-your-own-adventure people…

Pay $400 and I’ll give you a $500 gift certificate to use toward in-person Ayurvedic bodywork over the next year.

Not sure what you’ll feel like having yet? Perfect. Future you has $500 waiting.

The RISE Circle is still open too, beginning October 8, and if this is the season you desire more one-to-one support, my six-month Energy Experience birthday offer is still available.

Then Saturday night, the birthday menu disappears and we officially move into fall.

More warm oil. More nourishment. More laughter. More of what already feels good.

You’ll find everything at the link in my bio, or DM me and I’ll send it your way.

And seriously, three Shirodhara for $400.

I’m just going to leave that there. ;)

Today I turned 48.

And this year I desire even more.

More joy.
More vitality.
More fun.
More wisdom.
More adventures.
More yeses to the things that light me up.
More taking care of myself simply because it feels good.

And probably a few more really good no’s too.

At 48, I’m letting a few things go and making room for some really wonderful things to come in.

Not because anything is wrong.

Quite the opposite.

Life is great.

I’m doing a whole lot right. And I hope you can look around at your own life and recognize how much you’re doing right too.

We spend so much time being told what we could do better, what we lack, etc, that sometimes we forget to stop and think, holy s**t, look at everything I’ve already created.

So this birthday, I’m celebrating that.

For me. And for you.

And when it’s my birthday, I love to share gifts, and I’ve put together a little birthday menu with three fun ways to work with me.

Come see me for some in-person magic.

Come learn with me inside The RISE Circle.

Or come all in with me for six months and let’s make your next season incredible.

Each has a little birthday something attached. Special birthday pricing or something extra from me.

Not because you need fixing or should be doing more.

Simply because you’re allowed to desire even more of what feels great in the life you’re already creating.

Want to come celebrate with me?

You’ll find the birthday offers at the link in my bio, or DM me BIRTHDAY and I’ll send them your way.

And if there’s something you’ve been wanting to experience with me and you don’t see it there, ask me. It is my birthday after all. ;)

I won’t be spending much time on social media today. I’ll share more over the next couple of days.

Today is for some quiet, some reflection, some fun, charcuterie boards, farm fresh flowers and being very happy to be 48.

Here’s to even more greatness in our lives!!

I get this question a lot and I love it, because the answer is so simple ⬇️

No. It’s not bad, and you didn’t waste the practice.

Think of falling asleep as data. When you remove stimulation, information, and decision-making, you enter the slipstream, a space where you get to observe what your brain does when it’s no longer being asked to be on. Sometimes it stays awake and aware. Sometimes it shifts into renewal and restoration. Both offer useful feedback.

The practice still works to create space between decisions, sharpen your thinking and intuition, help you transition out of work mode, and be fully present for the life you’ve worked so hard to create.

Take my client Jenna,* for example, who joined The REST Collective as a successful CEO with busy young kids.

Every Sunday night she would fall asleep during our Yoga Nidra, and she did that for nearly six months straight. Then one day, she noticed she stayed awake for more of the practice. Around the same time, she realized she was sleeping through the night more consistently, waking up feeling refreshed, and had more energy on weekends to be present with her family.

The “rest” she was getting while falling asleep during Yoga Nidra was working long before she realized it.

Over time, you might find you stay awake longer, you ebb and flow in and out of the practice, or you might keep falling asleep for months. It’s all welcome, because there’s no “right way” to do this, no gold star, no getting an A+. Your body calls the shots and gives you feedback here.

The only way to “fail” at Yoga Nidra is to never lie down and try it at all.

If you’ve been curious about Yoga Nidra but worried you wouldn’t “get it,” or it might be a waste of time, consider this your permission slip AND your invitation to join us on Sunday.

The REST Collective is moving into its 7th year. It’s virtual, so you can join us from anywhere in the world.

A different kind of rest is waiting for you.

Comment REST for details 🤍

Anniversary celebrations continue all through August.

The women I work with aren’t looking for another productivity hack.

They’re building businesses, leading families, creating meaningful work, have real energy, and they’ve learned that how they start and end their day matters.

They don’t just protect their time.

They protect the space that allows them to feel their best.

Because how they feel influences everything they create.

And isn’t that what living is about!!!

Yesterday, I accidentally left my phone behind.

Chris and I were out on the paddleboards, enjoying the lake, and it took me quite a while to realize I didn’t have it with me.

And do you know what happened?

Nothing.

No emergency.
No email that couldn’t wait.
No text that needed an immediate response.

Life carried on exactly as it should have.

It made me realize something.

This month, I want to experiment with living a little more…analog.

Not because I’m against technology.

I’m not anti-digital. I’m really deeply pro-human.

I think the answer is remembering what it feels like to be in the moments.

To watch a sunset without reaching for your phone.
To notice the birds.
To feel the warmth of the sun without thinking about capturing it.

In my experience all healing begins with awareness.

I think presence works the same way.

The more present we become, the more we notice.

The more we notice, the more alive we feel.

Connected not by wifi but by the human experience.

So that’s my invitation for July.

Not a digital detox.
Not deleting your apps.

Just becoming curious.

Where could you leave your phone behind for twenty minutes?

Where could you choose the conversation instead of the screen?

Summer is beautifully short.

My hope for both of us is that when September arrives, we’ll remember more sunsets than screens, more conversations than notifications, and more moments than posts.

What’s one word you’re choosing more of this summer?
Share below Id love to know ❤️

What surprised me now having been out of aviation for a month wasn’t how much I accomplished this month with all of the extra time on my hands.

What surprised me most was how quickly my body responded when I finally created some extra space.

The truth?

Like many of my clients, I had adapted to feeling less than amazing.

Not terrible.
Not sick.
Not in crisis.

Just less clear.
Less resilient.
Less connected.
Less available for the life I was actually working so hard to build.

And it happened so gradually that I didn’t even notice.

Slowly I started accepting poor sleep and constant mental load without even flagging that something was off.

Because that’s what humans do.

We adapt.

We adapt to the rushed mornings.
We adapt to the afternoon crash.
We adapt to carrying stress in our body.
We adapt to functioning instead of feeling well.

Until one day something changes and you realize:

Wait a minute.

I thought I felt good.

But I had forgotten how good life could actually feel when I’m no longer living in a constant state of output.

This month of space reminded me.

Not because I did more.

Because I finally created enough space to hear myself again and the opportunity to feel this way is also available to you.

If you’re reading this post because a part of you thought, “She’s talking about me,” don’t ignore that feeling. It’s the perfect time to work with me..

Together we can examine the places where your body has quietly adapted to stress, the patterns keeping you stuck in survival mode, and the small but powerful shifts in your daily rhythm that allow your physiology to stop compensating and start functioning the way it was designed to.

As we move into July, I’ve created three ways to begin.
☀️ The Summer of YOU ($444)
☀️ An Initial 30 day Ayurvedic Wellbeing Experience (online or in person)
☀️ The One-to-One Energy Experience ~ 3 month

Choose the path that feels like your next right step.

The opportunity to feel great again is closer than you think.

Wellness is loud right now. Medicine is quiet.

Open any platform and you will find the trend of the week. A new protocol. A supplement stack. A biohacking approach that contradicts last month's biohacking approach. More noise than any nervous system needs.

Ayurveda is not a trend.

It is a 6,000-year-old medical system with a diagnostic framework, a treatment philosophy, a complete materia medica, and sequencing principles built on the observation of the body across thousands of years and millions of patients.

It has a way of reading the body before disease manifests. It has a language for what the body is doing, not just what it is failing to do. It has tools that work in sequence, not in isolation.

This is not a collection of products. It is not a mood. It is not a personality type derived from a quiz.

Often the simplest approach is the most potent. That is something Ayurveda has understood from the beginning. Not because simple is easier. Because simple is precise.

I practice medicine. That is the distinction.

06/24/2026

A story many women quietly relate to.

Years ago, I was a mom of two emerging teenagers, running a yoga studio, teaching classes, caring for everyone else, and still trying to hold myself together in the middle of it all.

About two years into that season of life, I ended up with an autoimmune diagnosis.
I remember sitting with the specialist and honestly, to this day, I feel lucky I landed with someone who had a more holistic understanding of health. He kind of laughed and said:

“You’re the cliché. The yoga teacher teaching stress management who is not managing her own stress.”

And he was right.
I already had the tools.
I understood the practices.
I knew what supported the body.
I just was not creating the space to receive any of it myself.

What I understand now through Ayurveda is that I was living in a deeply aggravated Vata state for years.

Vata is the force of movement in the body and mind. When balanced, it gives creativity, clarity, adaptability, and energy.

When Vata becomes excessive from chronic stress, overstimulation, poor rest, irregular routines, constant output, and never truly landing, the system starts to scatter.

You stop feeling grounded in yourself.
Your energy becomes inconsistent.
Your sleep stops restoring you.
Your mind races but your body feels exhausted. You lie down but cannot actually rest. And eventually women start describing themselves as lazy, unmotivated, flaky, overwhelmed, or incapable.

But most of the women I see are not lazy. They're depleted. They've been running on emergency fuel for so long that the body no longer knows how to settle into stillness.

The instinct is usually to push harder.
More caffeine. More discipline.
More supplements. More forcing.

Vata does not heal through more pressure.
It heals through grounding. Warm food.
Warm oil. Rhythm. Rest. Stillness.
Nourishment. Less stimulation.
More safety. The body needs to be shown it is safe to land again.

If this feels familiar, you are not broken.
Your body may just be asking for a different approach.

DM me “REST” and I’ll send you information on The REST Collective, my Yoga Nidra membership for women whose systems have forgotten how to fully exhale.

The biggest mistake I see women make in perimenopause is assuming their body is broken.

Your period shows up two weeks early.
Then it disappears. Then it comes back heavier than usual. And suddenly you're wondering if something is wrong because nothing seems to follow the old rules anymore.

If this is you, first, know that significant changes should always be discussed with your healthcare provider.

But here is the piece I wish more women understood.

Not every change is a sign that your body is failing. Some changes are signs that your body is transitioning.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, perimenopause marks the beginning of a shift from the Pitta stage of life into the Vata stage of life.

From fire into air and space. From the years of doing into the years of discerning. And every major transition comes with some unpredictability.

Your sleep may change.
Your cycle may change.
Your energy may change.
Your capacity for stress may change.
The strategies that worked for you at 35 may stop working at 45. Not because your body is broken. Because your body is asking for something different now. And this is where Ayurveda becomes especially interesting.

What you do before this transition shapes what happens during it and after it. The groundwork laid in the years before matters.

The health of your digestion.
The state of your nervous system.
The rhythm of your days.
The amount of depletion your body has been carrying for years.

All of it becomes part of the conversation.

This is one reason why two women can enter perimenopause at the same age and have completely different experiences.

Your body is not randomly betraying you.
It is responding to the foundation that has been built over decades.

Perimenopause is not a crisis.
It is an invitation to start listening differently.

Which part of perimenopause has surprised you the most? The cycle changes?
The sleep changes? Or the feeling that your body suddenly started playing by different rules? Tell me below. 👇

Most of us were taught to ignore our breasts until something hurts.

Breast health in most clinical and cultural settings is almost entirely reactive. The appointment. The scan. The check for changes. Almost nothing between.
Here is what Ayurveda starts with.

Breast tissue has no muscular movement of its own. Lymphatic circulation in the chest depends on breath, surrounding movement, manual stimulation, and fascial mobility. When that movement is missing, stagnation builds. Kapha accumulates where it should be flowing. Ama settles where the body cannot clear it.

Ayurveda does not wait for pathology. It observes imbalance before it deepens.
Daily breast care is not complicated. Deep diaphragmatic breath. Slow arm and shoulder mobility. Gentle self-touch with warm dosha appropriate plain oil. Five minutes, most days.

This complements your annual screening. It does not replace it.

For women recovering from lumpectomy, mastectomy, or implant removal: scar tissue shapes how you breathe, how your shoulder moves, how your nervous system holds. That layer of work is hands-on and available at my clinic.

Breast care is not a yearly event. It is a daily relationship.

DM me to book a 1-to-1 lymphatic and breast tissue session at my clinic.
