Once submissions close, we will select up to five finalist names, and the community will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite during Phase 2: Community Voting (September 7-21).

The winning name will be displayed on the ice resurfacer, and the entrant whose submission is selected as the final name may receive a prize package valued at approximately $1,000.

๐Ÿ“… Name submissions close August 27, so submit your name suggestion today!

UPDATE: Aug 12 - 3:30 p.m. | The water leak has been repaired, but the hydrant requires further repairs that will take place over the next few days. Water disruptions have ended, and further water disruptions should not be necessary. Thank you for your patience!

๐Ÿšง Water Service Update

City crews are currently repairing a broken hydrant on Heritage Drive.

Residents on the north-west end of Heritage Drive may experience reduced water pressure while crews work to isolate and repair the leak.

All residents should continue to have water service; however, water pressure may be lower than normal during the repair.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore normal service as quickly and safely as possible.

Tickets for the 5th annual Harvest Dinner are going fast and support two local non-profits in our area, while highlighting the amazing farmers and producers of our region. Everything at your place setting will be sourced ingredients from right here in Central Alberta.

The dinner will be once again held outdoors on August 22 at the Ellis Nature Centre, where patrons watch the sun set, listen to live music and enjoy locally produced foods and beverages from Lacombe and area.

Funds raised through the Harvest Dinner support educational initiatives at both the Ellis Nature Centre, and the Lacombe Museum. This annual fundraiser is proudly supported by the City of Lacombe.
