Memory Lane Monday | 📸 Throwback to 1973!

Meet Dr. Howard Nathan, the first doctor to "hang out his shingle" and establish a medical practice in our community, alongside Nurse Wanda Hutt, RN.

When 26-year-old Dr. Nathan began his practice in September 1973, he and Wanda were equipped with some of the most advanced medical resources available at the time, including:

💊 On-site medications and oxygen
☎️ Code-a-phone answering and message machine
🚑 On-site resuscitation equipment

All state-of-the-art... for the day!

Looking back, it's remarkable to see how healthcare has evolved while recognizing the dedicated professionals who helped lay the foundation for medical care in our community. We are grateful for the vision, commitment, and service of pioneers like Dr. Nathan and Wanda Hutt.

If you are registered with a physician from the Thousand Islands Family Health Organization (FHO)—which rotates after-hours coverage for patients between the Lansdowne, Seeley’s Bay, and Gananoque member clinics—please contact your family physician’s office for details on current after-hours care.

📅 Clinic Hours
• Monday to Thursday: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Weekends: Either Saturday OR Sunday (3-hour clinic)

⏰ Times vary from office to office
📍 Lansdowne Weekend Clinics
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

📞 Patients may call the day prior or the same day to book an appointment.

• All After Hours Clinics are by appointment ONLY
• You must call ahead to book your spot
