Are you unsure about what Tarot is about?
Are there things you have heard and/or read about Tarot that you want to know about before you book a reading?
Today's post is a list of 5 myth and the corresponding facts about Tarot.
MYTH: Tarot is dangerous.
Some people think that tarot is the work of the devil or witches. (Satanists, Wiccans, etc.) This is not the case.
FACT: Tarot is not dangerous.
Though if not used properly it is possible to use tarot for ill intentions, this doesn't mean that every tarot reader will be using this skill for those purposes. In fact, the Major Arcana cards contain cards that represent 4 archangels. The Lovers are represented by Raphael/Michael (There is debate about which represents love). Temperance is represented by an unknown archangel (Some think this is Gabriel). The Devil (some think Lucifer, some think Uriel) is actually an archangel. Finally Judgement is represented by Gabriel blowing his trumpet and calling spirits forward.
MYTH: To read Tarot you need to have special powers.
FACT: Though there are many psychics, empaths etc. that use tarot as a tool for the use of their abilities, tarot does not require the person using them to have these abilities. Tarot is a skill or art that can be learned by anyone.
MYTH: Tarot cards are never wrong.
FACT: Because of the fact that tarot does not bring magic, or foretell future, Tarot cards are not what is wrong. What people often mistake for a wrong card is often a misinterpretation by the reader, or possibly a poorly asked question.
MYTH: The Death and/or Devil card always indicate that someone is going to die or the devil is involved.
FACT: Though depending on the reason for the reading, and questions asked, these cards can indicate the obvious, more often this is not the case. These cards often represent the end of a cycle, and/or changes. When the death card comes up, it often means change is inevitable.
MYTH: Tarot is only used for telling the future.
FACT: Again, though there are readers that use tarot as a tool for telling the future, this is not the common use of the majority of tarot readers. Most readers use this as a guide for present than future. They use it as a guide for what you are doing in your life, or what you may want to do to change something.
