The duality of a Phyisical Therapist... 🤣
One minute they're helping you feel your best. The next?
They're the reason the clinic need tidying up. 😅

🎵I'm way too fine to be this stressed, yeah!🎵

Don't stress if you can't pronounce it, just know that norepinephrine is both a neurotransmitter in the brain and a hormone, playing an important role in your body's “fight-or-flight” response.

Health conditions that result from low levels of norepinephrine include anxiety, depression, ADHD, headaches, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, memory and sleeping problems.😔😔

The good news is that you can naturally increase your levels of norepinephrine by getting a good night's sleep, eating enough protein, doing things that make you feel happy, exercising regularly, and yes, you guessed it, doing !🤩🤩

Visit us online at www.peakpt.ca or arrange an appointment to get stress-less today!

🥾Buckling Under the Strain?

Planning a hike this summer? Don't let a muscle strain keep you from reaching the trailhead!🌲🗻

A muscle strain (also known as a pulled muscle) happens when muscle fibers are overstretched or torn. This can happen when your muscles are pushed beyond what they're prepared for. Whether you're tackling a steep climb, navigating uneven terrain, carrying a heavy backpack, or doing more activity than your body is used to.

Common signs of a muscle strain include:
✔Sudden pain
✔Tenderness
✔Swelling or bruising
✔Muscle weakness
✔Reduced mobility

Before you hit the trails, give your body the preparation it deserves. Building strength, improving mobility, and allowing time for recovery can help keep you moving through all your summer adventures.

If a muscle strain has you sitting on the sidelines, our team at Peak Physical Therapy can help you get back to doing what you love!
