“Wow!! I loved having Rachel for my Doula.
She was with me every step of the way. So my plan was to have a home birth again, but sometimes plans have to change. I have had two home births prior and had everything in place for the best home experience yet. I have known Rachel for 7 years. She is very hands on and passionate in what she does. In recent years [2022] she started practicing as a Doula, and I had the opportunity to have her with me for this baby.
My water broke early on Friday morning and I let her know, since she is an hour out, and I didn’t know how fast I would progress.
She showed up with a smile and a serving heart. It brought comfort to me and helped me feel at peace having her there so early in my labor.
I loved how she made herself comfortable in my home, she put up beautiful string lights in the birthing room and in no time my area smelled of calming essential oil and soft music.
She brought a loving peaceful atmosphere. When my plans changed and we had to go to deliver in the hospital she brought the same atmosphere there. Put up beautiful string lights in the bathroom, kept my spirit up with encouraging words, she kept my energies up with snacks and hydration options through out labor. When my feet felt uncomfortable she messaged them. It was a very long labor and she was with me every step of the way!!
She’s educated and very professional in her work. If only I could have had her with all my children!
I highly recommend Rachel Brouwer for a support partner and Doula! She will not disappoint!!

• 10% decrease in the use of any medications
• Shorter labors by an average of 41 minutes
• 38% decrease in the baby’s risk of a low five minute Apgar score

“My latest birth experience with baby 5 was awesome, largely because of Rachel. She provided a cozy, peaceful environment, and all the right kind of supports throughout my labor and after delivery. My husband appreciated the knowledgeable advice and timely recommendations, such as when to call the midwife, when to get in the pool, etc. Having an extra set of hands also allowed him to be more present for me during contractions. He liked the fact that she ensured that there were snacks and drinks available. This labor and delivery was by far the easiest and most relaxing so far. Rachel is worth every penny and I will recommend her Doula services to everyone from now on!” - Jessica
