Some of the biggest changes in my life haven’t come from doing more — they’ve come from becoming more intentional with the things I do every day. 🤍

As an acupuncturist, I’ve learned to pay much closer attention to what my body is asking for and how small daily habits can support the bigger picture.

Here are 4 habits that have made a difference for me:

🌅 Morning clarity — giving myself quiet time in the morning before jumping into the day.

🚶‍♀️ Consistent movement — choosing movement that feels supportive and sustainable, rather than feeling like I have to “work out.”

🔥 Feeding my digestive fire — being more mindful about nourishing my body with warm, grounding foods and supporting digestion.

🌙 11 PM curfew — making sleep a priority and giving my body a consistent time to wind down and rest.

None of these are complicated. And they’re certainly not about being perfect. They’re simple ways of creating more consistency, connection, and intention in everyday life.

Sometimes, the little things really do add up. ✨

What’s one habit that has made a noticeable difference in your life?

🍂 Feeling a little different lately? Your body might be noticing the season change before you are.

In Chinese Medicine, autumn is associated with the Metal element, the Lungs, and dryness. As we move away from the warmth and humidity of summer, you may notice your body asking for something different.

Maybe your skin feels drier. Your throat feels scratchy in the morning. Your digestion changes. Or you’re feeling a little more reflective and ready to slow down.

This is your reminder to listen to those subtle changes.

Autumn is a beautiful time to focus on:
✨ Warm, nourishing meals
✨ Staying hydrated
✨ Supporting your Lungs and respiratory system
✨ Getting enough rest
✨ Creating space for reflection and letting go

You don’t have to completely change your routine overnight. Small, supportive changes can help your body move through the seasonal transition with a little more ease.

And if your body has been asking for some extra support, acupuncture can be a wonderful part of your seasonal wellness routine. 🤍

Lower back pain can affect so much more than just your back. It can make sitting, sleeping, working, exercising, and even getting through your day feel harder than it should.

One thing I wish more people knew is that acupuncture can be a supportive option for managing lower back pain!🌿 Acupuncture may help by supporting the body’s natural pain-relieving processes, reducing muscle tension, improving circulation, and helping calm the nervous system.

Whether your pain is something you’ve been dealing with for years or something that recently started bothering you, you don’t always have to simply “live with it.”

Your body deserves support, and acupuncture may be one piece of your care.

If lower back pain has been holding you back, consider adding acupuncture to your toolkit. 🤍

How often will I need acupuncture?🤍

This is one of the questions I get asked the most—and the honest answer is: it depends!

Just like exercise or physiotherapy, acupuncture works best when we create a treatment plan based on your goals, symptoms, and how your body responds.

✨ A general guideline:

• 2–3 times per week: deal for acute injuries, pain flare-ups, or when symptoms are severe and we want to get things under control quickly.

• 1–2 times per week: Great for addressing underlying imbalances, supporting chronic conditions, and making steady progress while incorporating lifestyle and dietary changes.

• Every 2 weeks: Often recommended once you’re feeling better and we’re working to maintain your progress while continuing to build resilience.

• Monthly: Perfect for maintenance care. Many patients choose monthly treatments to help manage stress, support their immune system, reduce tension, and keep their body feeling balanced before symptoms return.

I also understand that finances are a real consideration, and we’ll always have an open conversation about what treatment schedule is realistic for you. My goal is to recommend what will give you the best results while working within your individual circumstances.

Remember, acupuncture is a regulated healthcare service, and many extended health benefit plans include coverage for treatments. If you’re unsure about your coverage, it’s worth checking your plan—you may have benefits available that can help make regular care more affordable!

Every treatment plan is personalized because every person is different. Together, we’ll find a schedule that supports your health, your goals, and your lifestyle. 💜

Shoulder pain isn’t something you have to “just live with.” 💙

Whether it’s reaching into a cupboard, carrying groceries, working at a desk, or trying to get comfortable at night, shoulder pain can affect so many parts of your day.

The good news? Movement, the right treatment, and addressing the root cause can make a real difference.

Acupuncture is often used to help:
✨ Reduce pain
✨ Improve mobility
✨ Decrease inflammation
✨ Support your body’s natural healing process

Every shoulder is different, which is why treatment should be tailored to you. Whether your pain is from overuse, an old injury, poor posture, or arthritis, acupuncture may be a helpful part of your recovery plan.

If shoulder pain has been holding you back, don’t wait until it gets worse. Let’s help you get back to moving comfortably again.

A few months ago, I quietly introduced Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and since then, it’s become one of my favourite treatments to offer! 🤍

Facial acupuncture isn’t about changing the way you look. It’s about supporting healthy skin from within.

By improving circulation, encouraging collagen production, and reducing muscle tension, acupuncture can help all skin types look healthier, brighter, and more refreshed. Because healthy skin starts with a healthy body.

Whether your goals are reducing fine lines, calming breakouts, improving hydration, or simply giving your skin a natural glow, treatments are personalized to you.

Basic human needs:
1. Oxygen ✅
2. Water ✅
3. …okay, acupuncture might not be in the biology textbook.

But if you’ve ever walked out of a treatment with less pain, fewer headaches, better sleep, or feeling like yourself again…you know why it made the list. 😉

Two are required for life.
One just makes life feel a whole lot better. ✨

Your future self will thank you. 💛

Neck tension has a way of sneaking into our daily lives. Long hours at a desk, stress, poor sleep, or even scrolling on our phones can leave our muscles feeling tight and uncomfortable.

Acupuncture works by encouraging the body to relax, improving circulation, and helping release muscle tension. Many people also notice better mobility, fewer tension headaches, and a greater sense of calm after treatment.

While every person’s experience is different, acupuncture focuses on treating the root cause—not just the symptoms—so your body can move and feel its best.

If you’ve been living with a stiff, achy neck, you don’t have to just “put up with it.” Relief may be closer than you think. 💛

Perfection isn’t the goal—progress is. 🤍

So many people put off taking care of themselves because they feel like they need the “perfect” routine, more time, or the right moment to start. But healing doesn’t ask for perfection. It asks for consistency.
Whether it’s managing stress, getting better sleep, moving your body, or supporting your health with acupuncture, small steps taken regularly often have a bigger impact than waiting for everything to be just right.
Give yourself permission to begin where you are. Your body is always listening, and every act of care counts.
✨ You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to start.
