It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maralyne Mae Schellenberg on June 3, 2026, at the age of 83 years.

Maralyn Mae Schellenberg was born May 11, 1943, in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba to Percival and Doreen Bellamy. Soon after, they moved to Melville, Saskatchewan where Marnie grew up with her two brothers, John and Scott.

After high school, Marnie attended teachers’ college and began a lifelong dedication to teaching and helping kids. She taught in a small school in Herbert Saskatchewan where she met Rudy Schellenberg. They were married in 1965 and after Rudy completed a teaching degree in Saskatoon, settled in Lloydminster where she was to spend the rest of her life.

Marnie and Rudy had three boys, Steve, Jeff and Mike. Marnie kept the home and supported her kids until they were all out of Middle school. Marnie returned to work, spending time at both Alberta Social Services and at Big Brothers and Big Sisters, always finding a way to work with and help kids.

Marnie loved to spend time at the cabin at Turtle Lake, enjoying the ice moving in the spring, the birds singing in the summer, the colors of the leaves in the fall, and a warm fire and a book or crossword puzzle in the winter. Good visits, with great friends over coffee were a staple of any weekend spent at the lake.

Marnie passed away at the Dr. Cooke Nursing Home in Lloydminster, June 3, 2026, due to complications from Alzheimer’s. Marnie is survived by her husband, Rudy; sons, Steve and his wife Leanne, Jeff and his wife Donna, and Mike and his wife Melissa; seven grandchildren, Blaine, Sam, Ben, Jayden, Aether, Dustin and Nina and two great grandchildren, Reese and Rudi.

Per Marnie’s wishes, there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society or Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

May 1st, 2026, marked a new beginning at Creech’s Funeral Home, Lloydminster. After over 30 years in the community, Harry and Alva Creech have decided to enter a new stage and transition to a quieter life. Whether that be professionally or privately, they have encountered so many wonderful people that integrated them into the community. It has been one of the greatest honours to have the trust to care for loved ones and help those in need.

Creech’s Funeral Home has always brought the utmost compassion, dignity, and respect to each family they encounter in the community. Riley Zajic of Wainwright plans to uphold those values and honour the Creech’s by carrying on their name and legacy. With this new transition of ownership, Harry, Alva and Riley intend to make this time as smooth as possible for the families and community.

We want to reassure families that all pre-arranged (pre-need) funeral contracts remain valid and secure. Following the closing, these contracts will be kept with Creech’s Funeral Home. Each existing pre-need contract remains valid and binding, and all funds and contractual obligations are secure and unaffected by the change in ownership. No action is required from families at this time.

Operations will still take place at 5422-50 Ave, Lloydminster AB, T9V 0X1, with the same phone number, 780-875-3200, for 24-hour care.

We want to thank everyone for their kindness, care and support.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Angela Dawn Harvey, born July 23 1983, passed away suddenly in Edmonton Alberta on March 1, 2026.

Angela is survived by her parents, Craig and Emma Harvey; brother Matthew (Nicole) Harvey; children Trenton, Nicholas, and Madison Harvey; nieces and nephews Taylor-Jane, Luke, and Breah Harvey; great-nephew Finn Gosbee; as well as a beloved grandchild expected in September 2026.

Angela was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She lived there the majority of her life before moving across the country to Alberta in 2023. Angela loved art, animals, fashion, getting dressed up, and music.

In a final act of generosity, Angela gave the gift of life through organ donation, offering hope to others. This act of selflessness will forever be remembered as the last part of her legacy.

While she faced struggles, she was so much more than her challenges. She was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and a friend who loved, and was loved in return.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the ones who loved her.

A Family Service for Angela will be held at a later date.
