Did you know that nearly half of women have dense breast tissue?

Dense breast tissue is common, but it can make mammography less sensitive, making it important to understand your breast density and other personal risk factors.

Breast health isn’t one-size-fits-all. Understanding your own breast density and risk factors can help you make informed decisions about your breast health.

At Paradigm Thermography, I believe informed women make empowered decisions. That’s why every appointment includes education, a review of your health history, and a conversation about your breast health, not just your images.

Because understanding your body is one of the most powerful steps you can take toward proactive breast health.

🚫 MYTH: If my breasts don’t hurt, everything is fine.

✅ FACT: Breast health isn’t determined by symptoms alone.

Many breast changes happen quietly. Others, like tenderness or swelling, may simply be related to hormones, inflammation, or normal changes in your body.

That’s why paying attention to your breast health isn’t just about waiting for a symptom.

Thermography is different because it looks at physiology, heat patterns and vascular activity at the skin’s surface. It doesn’t diagnose disease or replace mammograms, ultrasounds, or MRI. Instead, it provides another perspective that can be monitored over time for changes.

Women often choose breast thermography because they:
🌿 Want a proactive approach to breast health.
🌿 Have dense breast tissue.
🌿 Are navigating perimenopause or menopause.
🌿 Want to establish a baseline for future comparison.
🌿 Prefer a comfortable, radiation-free screening method.

Knowledge creates confidence. Understanding your body is one of the most powerful things you can do for your health.

Have questions? Send me a message. I’d love to help you understand whether thermography is right for you.

Your breast density matters when it comes to choosing your breast health screening.

Dense breast tissue can make it more difficult for mammograms to detect abnormalities because both dense tissue and many cancers appear white on a mammogram. That’s why it’s important to know your breast density and have a conversation with your healthcare provider about whether additional screening may be appropriate for you. Breast density does not affect Thermography!

No single screening tool is right for everyone. The best approach depends on your age, breast density, personal risk factors, family history, and symptoms.

Know your density. Know your options. Start the conversation.

SHARING WITH THE CLIENTS PERMISSION:

This image is such a perfect example that dense breast tissue needs more than just a mammogram. This is a 46-year-old woman with extremely dense breast tissue. She got a mammogram every year, but they still could not see the huge tumor in her left breast. Following her recent thermography she had a clinical breast exam which revealed a 5 1/2 cm Mass. Ultrasound finally saw the tumor and biopsy was performed with a diagnosis of her2 positive stage III breast cancer. Remember Breast Density does not impact the accuracy of a Breast Thermogram, therfore making it an ideal assessment tool for all young women & indeed all women with dense breasts. Remember it is also radiation-free

Love this post! I’m a little late to the game but I’m getting on board. I was a non believe (in the support) until I was properly fitted for a non underwire bra.

Thank you Thermography Clinic Inc..

👙 One simple change many women make to support breast wellness? Choosing bras without underwires.

The breast and underarm region contain an extensive network of lymphatic vessels that help transport fluid and cellular waste away from breast tissue. Some practitioners believe that prolonged pressure from underwires may contribute to localized congestion and restricted lymphatic flow, particularly when bras are worn for many hours each day.

Reducing unnecessary compression is a simple lifestyle choice that may help support healthy circulation and lymphatic function.

At our clinic, we often encourage women to consider:
✔ Soft-cup bras instead of underwire styles
✔ Removing bras when relaxing at home
✔ Avoiding bras that leave deep indentations on the skin
✔ Supporting overall lymphatic health through movement, hydration, and healthy lifestyle habits

Thermography evaluates physiological patterns within the breasts, including signs of inflammation, vascular activity, and lymphatic congestion. By observing these functional changes, women can gain additional insight into their breast health and monitor trends over time.

Sometimes the smallest daily habits can make a difference. What you wear for 10–12 hours a day is one of them.

Breast Pain: What Your Breasts May Be Trying to Tell You

Breast pain is incredibly common, especially during the hormonal transitions of perimenopause and menopause. While it’s often not associated with breast cancer, it shouldn’t be ignored if it’s persistent, changing, or causing concern.

Common causes of breast pain include:

✔ Hormonal fluctuations (estrogen and progesterone changes)
✔ Fibrocystic breast changes
✔ Inflammation
✔ Stress and cortisol imbalances
✔ Caffeine sensitivity (for some women)
✔ Hormone replacement therapy or supplements
✔ Poor lymphatic drainage
✔ Musculoskeletal issues affecting the chest wall, ribs, neck, or shoulders

How Can Thermography Help?

Thermography doesn’t diagnose the cause of breast pain, but it can provide valuable information about what’s happening beneath the surface.

By measuring heat patterns and vascular activity, thermography may identify areas of increased inflammation or physiological activity that warrant monitoring or further investigation.

It can also help:
🌡 Establish a baseline for future comparison
🌡 Monitor changes over time
🌡 Provide insight into hormonal influences on breast tissue
🌡 Support a proactive approach to breast health

If you’re experiencing ongoing breast pain, new tenderness, or changes that concern you… consider whether thermography may be a useful addition to your breast health strategy.

Non-invasive • No radiation • No compression

Wondering whether your breast pain is related to hormones, inflammation, or something that deserves further investigation?

Thermography may provide another piece of the puzzle.

So… what is thermography? 👇

Thermography is a non-invasive imaging tool that uses infrared technology to detect heat and vascular patterns in the body.

Unlike structural imaging, thermography looks at physiology and function. So basically how tissue is behaving.

It does not diagnose cancer.
It does not replace mammograms or ultrasounds.

Instead, it provides additional information by observing patterns that may reflect things like:
• inflammation
• circulation
• hormonal influence
• nerve activity
• vascular changes

Many women choose thermography as part of a proactive wellness approach because it allows monitoring of changes over time.

No radiation.
No compression.
No contact.

Just information your body may already be communicating. 🤍

A lot of women normalize discomfort because it happens every month.

Tender breasts.
Swelling.
Lumpiness.
Changes around hormones.

And while fibrocystic breast changes are common… “common” doesn’t always mean you should ignore what your body is trying to tell you.

Your body gives feedback constantly.

Stress.
Hormones.
Inflammation.
Sleep.
Nutrition.
Healing.

They can all influence how breast tissue behaves over time.

That’s one reason many women choose thermography as part of a proactive wellness approach. To monitor patterns and changes over time, not just wait for something to become severe.

You know your body best.
Pay attention to it. 🤍
