Understanding medial-lateral balance starts with making sure you're looking at the hoof correctly.
In this short clip, Christine explains why she always checks that the centre line of the frog aligns with the centre line of the leg before assessing heel height. If the hoof is twisted, it's easy to misread which side is actually higher.
She also demonstrates the small adjustments you'd expect to make a couple of weeks after a setup trim and shares a quick tip for tidying loose frog material.
If you're interested in developing a deeper understanding of hoof care and trimming (we like to call it 'hoof grooming') this is just a small sample of what you'll find inside the Hoof Geeks Video Membership.
