Hello, all beautiful mamas/to be mamas and everyone interested in Doula work! My name is Makayla Seymour, and I am a certifying Doula located in the area. I am 24 (soon to be 25) year old that wants to help, support mamas though one of the most life changing events; of their life!
I first found out about Doula work, about 4-5 years ago now; when looking into birth work! I knew I wanted to support mamas, but I wasn’t sure how I was going to do that. I have to be honest as say; I have had a rough go with my Pregnancy journey, and hence why I have a need to help! I want to help inspire, be a voice for mamas, as well as; support mamas through their birthing journey. I did not get the support I needed though my journey, and I do not want others to go through the same thing I went though; so I thought that Doula work would be perfect, for that reason!
Now that you know a little bit about why I am certifying to become a Doula, I am going to share some interesting facts about me to help you get to know more of me;
1. I have a love for photography,
2. I am a doggy and kitty mama,
3. Inspirational quotes/affirmations are my favourite way to express myself,
4. My favourite series is Harry Potter! … Always …
5. My favourite time of the year is autumn because I feel as beautiful as a tree
