Last week marked 1 year in our new space. This space has allowed so much growth - in our team, our services and our ability to support our community.

This last year has brought about so many learning experiences, gifts, lessons, triumphs and difficulties. I am so grateful for this team around me and the continuous support from our community.

I can’t wait to see what this space continues to offer us on the years to come!

Our office manager, S T A C Y✨

Stacy is often the first point of contact for many folks reaching out to Thrive. We are beyond grateful for her kind, compassionate and trauma informed approach to guiding clients to the right therapist or service for their need.

She supports our team in many ways and this practice wouldn’t be what it is today with out her support.

Check out Ashley and Marissa’s conversation about AI and therapy!

AI can be a useful and powerful tool for many in various day to day tasks; however, it is important to be educated and aware of the risks involved in using this tool in therapy or as a replacement for therapy.

We are a team of relational therapists and we strongly believe that there is so much healing power in relationship and being with others, and therefore want to talk more about the power of the therapeutic relationship that cannot be mirrored by AI.

We know that this can be a sensitive or controversial topic for folks - we would be happy to hear your thoughts and feelings about it!

Experiences of emotional neglect, or feeling unloved in our childhood are common stories we often explore in the therapy room.

Emotional neglect can have lasting and profound impacts on our sense of self, attachment patterns, relationships, and more. However, we can work to untangle these stories and experiences, and learn to connect with ourselves and others in a way that feels safe, authentic, and fulfilling.

If this post resonated, you are not alone - we would be happy to connect with you

Therapist Spotlight: E M M A✨

Emma is a caring and supportive person centred, trauma informed therapist. She brings a ton of experience and the most compassion to the therapy room with clients.

A message from Emma:

“I have worked with many people during some of their most difficult life experiences and I am continuously inspired by the incredible skills and dedication to healing that individuals possess. I work from a strengths-based approach where I believe everyone has unique resources and strengths that assist them in their pathway to well-being, and I believe that you are the expert on your own life. At the same time, I am also aware that periods of life can feel chaotic, overwhelming, lonely, and exhausting, and no one should have to manage these things alone.”

Emma works with teens and adults on Wednesday evenings at Thrive! Connect with her today at the link in our bio.
