For years, Émile followed the sport he loves from home. This summer, the 98-year-old from Lévis, Quebec, got to experience the excitement in person, travelling with his daughter to attend the US Open Men's Final in New York.

With surprise courtside seats and a front-row view of an unforgettable match, the trip exceeded every expectation.

Cruise Week took residents at Chartwell Wedgewood on a virtual trip to Sweden. After exploring Stockholm through a documentary, they hit the dance floor for an ABBA disco and line dancing party, complete with Swedish-inspired refreshments. A fun-filled afternoon of music, movement, and great company! 🇸🇪🍹

Today we had the honour of welcoming Rachel into our community for a smudging ceremony.
Residents had the opportunity to learn about the four sacred medicines and their significance, as well as the traditions and teaching connected to smudging.
It was a beautiful and meaningful experience experienced that encouraged learning, reflection, and connection within our Riverstone community

National Day for Truth & Reconciliation
Today we took time to learn, reflect, and honour the history, culture, and experiences of Indigenous peoples in Canada.🧡

A special thank you to Steven for joining us and sharing an informative presentation with our residents. We were grateful for the opportunity to learn more about Indigenous history and culture, and to see the Indigenous artifacts he brought to share with us.

This past weekend, we were honoured to partner with McCormick Dementia Services and The Salvation Army to host a special Caregiver Retreat at Riverstone.

It was a wonderful opportunity for caregivers to connect with others, share experiences, recharge, and enjoy some much-deserved self-care. 🌿

A special thank you to artist and friend Bill for leading a fun and relaxing painting workshop and helping make the day so meaningful.

Our residents had a wonderful time getting hands-on in the kitchen during a special Sourdough Workshop led by our amazing volunteer, Lily

From creating and baking our own sourdough to taste testing, it was a fun afternoon filled with learning, laughter, and, of course, delicious bread! 🥖❤️

A big thank you to Lily for sharing their time, knowledge, and love of baking with our residents.
