Did you know that frequent dizziness, vertigo, or unsteadiness often starts in your inner ear?

Your balance is managed by three primary systems: your vision, your muscles/joints, and your vestibular (balance) system (located in your inner ear). When the vestibular system isn’t functioning properly, it causes a sensory mismatch in your brain, leading to that frustrating "spinning" sensation or general wobbliness.

Take charge of your safety and see an audiologist for balance testing!

📺 Is it the TV… or is it you?

Perhaps your favorite show is on, then suddenly you realize the volume bar is much higher than it used to be. Or maybe your family is starting to complain that the "living room sounds like a movie theater."

Often, hearing changes go unnoticed because they happen so gradually over time. Increasing the TV volume is one of the first "clues" your ears are giving you that they might need a little extra support.

Don’t just turn it up—find out why by booking a comprehensive hearing test with LAC today.

Dementia is one of the most pressing health and social challenges facing our country.

Brain health is shaped across a lifetime: by biology, lived experience, access to care and the systems around us.

This month, we’re looking at brain health through the lens of women, who are disproportionately impacted by dementia, both in diagnosis and in caregiving.

Because awareness alone isn’t enough.

We need investment in research. We need stronger public policy. We need community-based programs. And we need collective action to reduce risk and ensure no one is left without support.

The Alzheimer Society of Canada — as part of a federation serving communities nationwide — is advancing brain health, supporting people living with dementia and driving meaningful change.

Because brain health is lifelong and no one should face dementia alone.

Listening doesn’t just happen in the ears.....it begins in the brain.

Your ears collect sounds and send signals to the brain, but it’s the brain that organizes, interprets, and gives meaning to what you hear. That’s why hearing health is about more than volume; it’s about keeping the brain actively engaged in understanding speech and sound.

As a Lace AI Pro certified clinic, we offer you brain training to improve how you make sense of what you hear, all from the comfort of home.
