Let's talk about balance!
Few things are quite as important as your ability to balance. Good balance helps with ease of movement and protects us from all manner of mishaps. Poor balance can be the reason for falls, which can cause serious injuries and loss of independence. Having poor balance can be exhausting, anxiety inducing, and lead to less and less activity, which in turn only leads to worse balance and overall health.
Physiotherapy can help! Overall strengthening and conditioning can help restore an individual's balance. Specific balance centric exercises can help address the underlying issues of poor balance and restore one's confidence to move. Contact us if you or someone you know could benefit from improved balance

She utilizes evidence-based techniques to create personalized treatment plans that support recovery, functional improvement, and long-term wellness.

Outside of the clinic, Aina enjoys spending her free time at home engaging in hobbies such as Zumba, reading, crocheting, watching shows, and listening to music. She is also an avid fan of the band BTS.

Let's Talk Shoulder Replacement!

If you or someone you know is preparing for a shoulder replacement—or recovering from one—hydrotherapy (pool exercise) can make a big difference.

Immediately following surgery, shoulder movement is severely limited. Usually for a period of 3 weeks, shoulder movement is limited by necessity. Movement too early or too aggressive can damage the tissues and cause significant injury.

At around 4 weeks, is when we begin to move in greater ranges of motion, which is necessary but can be painful.

This is where therapeutic exercise in the pool begins to really shine.

Earlier than land-based exercises alone, individuals recovering from a shoulder replacement, can start to move in greater ranges of motion with less pain as they are supported by water.

Exercising in water provides a safe, zero-impact environment that supports healing and helps you move with more ease and confidence. The buoyancy of the water reduces stress on the joint.

Whether you're preparing for surgery or working your way back after, pool-based therapy can be a safe, effective, and even enjoyable part of your rehabilitation journey.

❌ MYTH:
“All physiotherapy treatments are the same.”
✅ FACT:
There is no one-size-fits-all approach. A good physiotherapy program is personalized based on your body, lifestyle, and goals. What works for one person may not work for another.
❌ MYTH:
“Pain always means something is damaged.”
✅ FACT:
Pain is complex. It can be influenced by stress, posture, muscle tension, or movement habits—not just tissue damage. Physiotherapy addresses both the physical and functional causes of pain, not just the symptoms.
❌ MYTH:
“Pain is something you just have to live with.”
✅ FACT:
Most pain can be improved with the right treatment, education, and movement. Physiotherapy helps you regain control and quality of life.

❌ MYTH:
“If it hurts, you should completely stop moving.”
✅ FACT:
Pain doesn’t always mean you’re causing harm. In many cases, the right type of movement helps reduce pain, improve circulation, and restore function. A physiotherapist can guide you through safe exercises tailored to your condition, so you can heal without fear of making things worse.

❌ MYTH:
“Physiotherapy is only needed after surgery or serious injury.”
✅ FACT:
Physiotherapy is just as effective for everyday issues like neck stiffness, back pain, poor posture, or repetitive strain from work. Early treatment can prevent small problems from turning into long-term injuries.

❌ MYTH:
“Rest is the best treatment for pain.”
✅ FACT:
While short-term rest can be helpful, too much rest often leads to stiffness, weakness, and slower recovery. Controlled movement and targeted exercises help your body heal stronger and more resilient.
