🚧ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 🚧

Work continues along Wellington Road as crews upgrade underground infrastructure for the Wellington Gateway rapid transit project. Here’s a look at what’s happening in different areas and what to expect starting Monday, October 19.

Between Wellington Crescent and Thomas Janes Drive
A temporary road beside Wellington Road will open to traffic on Monday, October 19, keeping vehicles moving while crews replace underground infrastructure.

In some locations, this infrastructure is nearly 10 metres deep. The diversion road gives crews the space they need to safely complete this large-scale excavation and replacement work without fully closing Wellington Road or repeatedly changing traffic configurations.

The temporary road will remain in place through the winter and into 2027.

💥 Between Base Line Road East and Commissioners Road 💥
Traffic will shift to the east side of Wellington Road on October 19, allowing crews to begin underground work on the west side of the road. Access to business plazas will be maintained throughout construction.

We are now ready and in full EXCITMENT of HALLOWEEN! 🎃

We will be having our 6th annual Pet Howl-O-Ween costume contest open to our clients!

⚠The Rules⚠
- Must be a client of WBAH to be able to participate for Prizes. (If you are not a client we would still love your pet pictures and it will be posted just noted they are "disqualified").
- 1 photo PER household - if you have multiple pets they need to be in 1 photo to be submitted (if that photo wins, it is up to you on which pet you would like the prize for)
- E-mail your photo to [email protected]
Please Provide:
• “ATTN:Sandy- Halloween Contest 2026” in the subject line
• In the email please include
-Your FIRST and LAST name
- Phone Number
-Your pets name AND Costume description
**IF MULTIPLE PETS IN THE HOME, 1 PICTURE OF ALL THE PETS to be submitted
- Photo Submissions will be open starting
**October 16th 2024 till October 23rd,2026! **
- All submissions will be reviewed and posted on the page October 26th, 2026 (sometime during business hours). Once pictures are uploaded, you can campaign for your pet to win by getting people to vote for their picture by clicking the “like” button (encourage friends, family, etc. Photos that are SHARED won’t necessarily be tracked properly. The “likes” on our page is what will be counted. If you shared the post and you happen to have more “likes” than on OUR page, it will not be counted. Only the “likes” that we see on our page will be counted.)
a. The Photo with the Most likes wins!!
b. IF there is a tie for the first-place vote, the ultimate first and second place winner will be decided by the staff at Wellington Baseline Animal hospital.
c. Voting will officially be CLOSED on October 31st, 2026 at 11:59 EDT. The winner will be announced November 2nd, 2026.

🐾Basket Prize🐾 👻
To be chosen by the Staff at Wellington Baseline Animal Hospital. Basket prize is a mixture of toys and treats for your pet. You will be notified on Nov 2nd, 2026 if your pet has won the basket. You will be contacted the following week when your basket will be ready for pick up! 🥳

Just a heads-up, pet parents! Our team is trading stethoscopes for stuffing this weekend so we can celebrate Thanksgiving with our packs.

Don't let your furry family members be left cold turkey! 🐾 Make sure to check your food and prescription supplies before the holiday rush.

Meet our newest team member: Luna! 🐾🐱

We are so excited to officially introduce you to the newest resident of Wellington-Baseline Animal Hospital—our clinic cat, Luna! 🎉

Right now, Luna is still a little bit shy and timid as she gets used to the busy clinic life, but she is already making amazing strides. She has been bravely venturing up to the front area more and more! She is an absolute sweetheart who loves affection, and we know that in due time, she'll be casually wandering around to greet all of our human and furry visitors. ❤️

Next time you're in the clinic, keep an eye out for her (and feel free to whisper a gentle "hello" if you see her)! 😸🐈‍⬛🐾
