Community Coming Together to Support MRCSSI

We are grateful to a dedicated group of community members who have taken the initiative to organize a fundraising dinner on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in support of the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI).

Many of these individuals have supported MRCSSI since its early days and their continued commitment reflects the spirit of community support that has helped sustain our work for more than two decades.

As a community-based organization, MRCSSI provides culturally integrative counselling, mental health services, family safety, social support and other essential services to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.

We sincerely appreciate the organizers for their leadership and generosity in bringing this community-led initiative together.

A Community-Organized Fundraising Dinner in Support of MRCSSI

We are grateful to a dedicated group of community members who have come together to organize a fundraising dinner on October 17 in support of MRCSSI.

This is a community-led initiative, with MRCSSI participating as the beneficiary organization.
The generosity and leadership of the organizing committee reflect the community support that has helped MRCSSI grow into an organization serving individuals and families from diverse backgrounds across London and beyond.

We are grateful for Zee (Zeeshan Hamid) for coming to London, announcing over $100,000 over two years through the Safety and Vital Communities grant.

MRCSSI champions culturally integrative and responsive care for our community. Building safer communities requires collaboration and coordinated services. This funding will be used to continue our work in responding to hate and Islamophobia in our communities through our "Pillars of Safety" project 💜

No words can describe the shock we feel over the reported attack on a Muslim woman in front of her 7-year old child in New Brunswick. The mother was left with physical scars and a swollen face, and both the mother and child are left with a deep impact to their mental well-being. Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and their family 💙

It is exhausting for our community to continuously hear of these stories. Canada continues to be have one of the highest rates of Islamophobic killings amongst the G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States).

It is time to take action against Islamophobia. The work is not done.
