Roe & Co Counselling At Roe & Co Counselling, the name reflects more than a practice it reflects a philosophy. “& Co” symbolizes the company you keep along your journey.

Counselling is not about rushing toward a destination, but about growing at your own pace. As a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), I have obtained my SSW, BSW, and MSW. My approach is affirming, inclusive, and grounded in empowerment, welcoming all genders, sexual orientations, cultural backgrounds, and relationship styles. Together, we will create a safe space where you can reconnect with yourself, strengthen your relationships, and access your inner strengths and resources. With close to 15 years of experience working directly with individuals experiencing grief, aging, motor vehicle accidents, identity exploration, illnesses, mental health, and relationships concerns, I’ve cultivated a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their emotions. In my off time I enjoy a great coffee, a good book, spending time with friends and family and singing/music.

One year of Roe & Co Counselling.

One year ago, Roe & Co Counselling began with a simple belief: that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported in navigating their own journey.

This past year has been filled with growth, learning, challenges, and moments that have reminded me why this work matters so much. Building this practice has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my professional journey, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has been a part of it.

To the clients who have trusted me with their stories, to be a part of your journey, the people who have supported this dream, and everyone who has helped Roe & Co become what it is today — thank you.

Roe & Co was built on the belief that growth doesn't have to happen on anyone else's timeline, that healing isn't linear, and that you don't have to have everything figured out to begin.

Here's to another year of creating space for growth, connection, healing, and becoming.

Your Journey, Your Pace.

Boundaries aren’t about pushing people away. They’re about making space for what you need.

Setting boundaries can bring up guilt, anxiety, and fear of disappointing others, but saying no doesn’t make you selfish, and protecting your needs doesn’t mean you care any less.

My latest blog explores what boundaries are, why they can feel so difficult, and how to set them with greater confidence.

Sometimes, setting a boundary is an act of self-respect.

Boundaries are not about pushing people away. They are about understanding what you need, communicating those needs clearly, and recognizing what you are and are not willing to accept in your relationships.

Our minds can be vicious.

It is easy to live in emotion.

Today I’d like to challenge that multiple truths can exist.

I’m not saying it’s comfortable, yet, it can be possible.

Give yourself grace, this is your journey, at your pace.

Be silly, it's good for the soul.
Multiple sides of you exist, it's great to get in touch with all of them. They all make you, you.

✨NEW BRAND✨ An exciting time to be had! I have worked really long and hard to find a brand that I feel represented collaboration, connectedness, and softness. After months of trying designs, I feel very good about this one, representing the collaboration and crossover of the work I am honoured to do with my clients. Here is to the new and final Roe & Co Counselling logo and brand

Pride Month is a time for celebration, visibility, and community, but it can also be a time that brings up complex emotions, experiences, and memories.

In my latest blog, I reflect on Pride through a mental health and trauma-informed lens, exploring the importance of affirming spaces, healing, resilience, and authentic self-expression.

Whether you're part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or looking to deepen your understanding as an ally, I invite you to give it a read.

This little guy never dreamed about becoming or therapist or even going to school; I’m sure he’d be proud of his accomplishments now.

We all have parts of us, and it is important to recognize and honour them for the ways they have served us throughout our years.

Therapy is a wonderful place to explore this and heal with those parts as well.

How do you know you are ready for therapy? What does it look like in terms of how I know I am "better"? I want to be perfect at healing or therapy.

These are all things that I get questions of and thought I would share my perspective and insight on for those exploring the idea of therapy.

Take note: I fumble my words and still have to be sure of my wording; it's okay! It is a human experience and perfection is a tall order. Be yourself.

It's important that you feel comfortable with your therapist and what better way to do that than to know a bit about them!
