I spent my birthday doing what I love to do.
Helping people get back to their active lives.
Grateful I get to spend my special day helping share the gift of movement to so many.
Can't wait to see what comes next.

Sending this post a little late (ok VERY late).
There was a lot of watching / refreshing feed the last 2 days between patients 😅
I’m privileged I get to see some of the behind-the-scene stuff, and see how hard every athlete works just to get to Nationals.
Yes there’s an importance to medals, and National team spots.
But you are all shining examples and role models.
Just don’t show me child how to kick me 😅
1 more days of Nationals. Best of luck to everyone competing.

Grateful for this sport for having given me this journey, and the chance to meet so many inspiring people.
I hope I was able to give back to the sport (and the athletes) as much as what this sport has given me.

I got woken up yesterday morning SUPER early by SOMEONE (you know who you are 😝)
This person shared a video with me from a past trip.
After making sure that it wasn’t spam 😆 I opened it. And it gave me tears. Happy tears. 🥹
What always starts off as strangers, in this field, as we work together to help these amazing athletes reach their goals, we get to know them. And we want them to succeed. And we want them to achieve their goals and their dreams.
Yeah there’s the part where I stay professional, but there’s also a part where you cry with them through their worst, and you give them a shoulder to lean on.
And then there were these moments.
Grateful for it all. Grateful for the wonderful people that I get to meet.
Over the next couple weeks these amazing people will be chasing that dream once again at FISU Universiade. Please join me in cheering them on, hoping for more moments of success. And regardless of the results, we’re incredibly proud of you, and we’ll always be there for you.
Go get it boys and girls 👊

There’s continued education, and then there’s this.
This past weekend I got to delve into the world of aviation medicine, and I got to learn about in insights of helping people at altitude, alongside colleagues that I look up to.
Double bonus: I ended up sitting at a table with 3 physicians from my hometown of Hong Kong 🇭🇰
Triple bonus: overcoming a longtime fear of being in an air crash, and practicing all the procedures in an actual flight simulator. I even got to go down the emergency slide!
Beyond blessed for the opportunity. Hopefully this will be the only time I put an oxygen mask over my face. Or access an airplane first aid kit, but if the worst happens, I’ll be prepared to help.

1 of these things is not like the others 🚲🚲🤪
It'll be 4 years since I embarked on the bike-commuter lifestyle. Other than a fall 2 years ago (hence new bike) no regrets.
It allows me to get some fresh air and natural sunlight.
It allows me to leave the family car for my spouse.
It keeps me in shape (somewhat), and it keeps me accountable to myself.
It allows me to be a good example for everyone, from my family, to my patients, and even my colleagues!
I believe in my heart of hearts that there's a way for all of us to stay physically active, no matter how busy our lives.

A friendly reminder to all parents that we can indeed move and stay active with our children during this March break!
Have fun together, sweat, and try to not fall! (Don’t do like me 🤕)

Forever grateful every time I get to wear my flag 🇨🇦(Just not as cool as and 😅)📸:
