SPF is your skin's best friend on these hot days! I promise you that getting a massage on sunburnt skin is NOT recommended!!

We're experiencing hotter than normal weather in our area and it is so important that we protect our skin from the high UV.

Getting a painful sunburn is a clear sign of skin damage, and the risks go way deeper than just a few days of peeling. Let’s look at the facts:

🎗Melanoma is one of the fastest growing cancers in Canada and the 7th most commonly diagnosed cancer.

☀️Just one sunburn AT ANY AGE increases your chances of developing Melanoma in your lifetime

🌞For all of you GETTING YOUR BASE TAN...
The leading cause of melanoma is overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or artificial sources (tanning beds, sunlamps).

‼️⚠️ONE indoor tanning session can increase the risk of skin cancer (Ontario Sun Safety Working Group)

Think about it! Who actually sees your back?

You don't see your skin on your back so unless you have a family member who checks you regularly your massage therapist might be the person who catches skin cancer.
