Pain is not the only reason to see a physiotherapist.

Recurring injuries, stiffness, balance issues, weakness, dizziness, difficulty returning to activity, or avoiding movement because of discomfort can all be signs that your body would benefit from assessment and rehabilitation.

At our clinics, treatment focuses on more than symptom relief β€” we aim to identify the root cause of the issue and help you move with greater strength, confidence, and function.

Early treatment often leads to better long-term outcomes.

One thing we wish more people knew: dizziness can often be treated.

Vestibular rehabilitation is a unique branch of physiotherapy focused on assessing and treating dizziness, balance dysfunction, vertigo, and concussion-related symptoms.

Treatment is individualized and may include balance exercises, eye tracking and coordination exercises, neck treatment, and movement retraining.

Our vestibular therapists have extensive post-graduate training in concussion and vestibular rehabilitation.

Vestibular rehabilitation is offered at both clinics:

Strength training becomes more important as we age β€” not less.

Muscle mass, bone density, balance, and overall strength naturally decline over time, but resistance training can help maintain function, mobility, and independence throughout life. Research also shows strength training can support bone health, reduce fall risk, improve joint health, and enhance overall quality of life.

At our clinics, strength is a key part of how we approach rehabilitation and long-term health. Whether your goal is returning to sport, managing osteoarthritis, improving balance, or simply staying active as you age, strength training matters.

We don’t just lift for performance β€” we lift for life.

🚧 Road Construction Notice A heads up for our patients!

Beginning late July, HRM will be completing road maintenance on Sackville Drive between Florence Street and Beaver Bank Road. Construction is expected to continue into October 2026.

While our clinic will remain open and accessible throughout the project, traffic delays are possible. If you have an appointment at Beaverbank Physiotherapy, we recommend giving yourself a little extra travel time to help ensure you arrive on schedule.

The work will be completed in phases, and according to HRM, business access will be maintained throughout construction.

If you have any questions about getting to your appointment, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Thank you for your patience, we look forward to seeing you!
