The Heart of Hastings Hospice The Heart of Hastings Hospice is a free, community & residential support service for families Anyone can call Hospice!

The Heart of Hastings Hospice is a community-based, volunteer support service, dedicated to improving the quality of life for those diagnosed with life-limiting illness. We provide patients and their families with supportive, compassionate care within their own homes, in nursing or retirement homes, as well as at our Residential Hospice located in Madoc. We serve the Municipalities of Centre Hasti

ngs, Marmora and Lake, Tweed, Tudor and Cashel, and the Townships of Madoc and Stirling-Rawdon. Our Hospice Volunteers provide companionship to those with a life limiting illness by talking, listening, sitting quietly with them, or in some cases assisting with personal care. They also assist with comfort measures, providing emotional and respite support for family caregivers needing to rest, go to appointments, shop, get needed chores done, or go out for a break with friends. The Heart of Hastings Hospice accepts referrals from patients, family members, friends, visiting nurses, physicians, clergy, or home-care workers. Hospice Volunteer Services can be provided in the home, hospital, nursing home or retirement homes. For more information on Hospice services please contact us on 613-473-1880.

On **Saturday, September 19, 2026**, our community will come together at the beautiful **O’Hara Mill Homestead and Conservation Area** for **Hike for Hospice, proudly presented by InspiAIR**, to support compassionate hospice care right here in our community.
