Hello Clients,
I hope you’ve all had a beautiful summer.
Mine has been filled with some very special big birthdays and anniversaries, family time, board games, hot tub soaks, and long relaxing walks with Lucy. It has been a summer I really needed.
As I prepare to return to work, I wanted to share a few changes moving forward.
This past year tested me immensely, and over the summer I gave myself a lot of time to reflect on what is draining my energy, what is fueling it, and what I need in order to continue doing this work in a way that feels healthy and sustainable.
Booking & New Clients
I will not be reopening my online schedule for general booking, and at this time I am no longer accepting new clients.
That being said, I deeply value the relationship I have with our wonderful physiotherapist, Beth, here in town, and I will continue to accept new clients based on her referral when I am able.
As I return, I will first be reaching out to clients who require more immediate tissue care, including those needing pre- and post-surgical support, treatment related to medical conditions or healing plans, and those with regular lymphatic and craniaosacral care.
After that, I will work through my existing waitlist as space allows.
My New Hours
I have officially entered the chapter of having teenage high-schoolers, which means that for these next few years, I am very much all hands on deck for dance, sports, and family life.
Because of that, I will no longer be available after 3:00 PM.
My regular appointment times moving forward will be:
Monday–Friday
10:00 AM
12:00 PM
1:45 PM
Keeping these consistent appointment times will also make it much easier for you to coordinate with the other medical professionals you see that compliment our services together.
If an urgent situation comes up and I am able to accommodate an appointment outside of my regular hours, there will be an additional $15 after-hours fee.
Treatment Pricing
My current treatment prices will remain the same for the rest of 2026.
Beginning January 1, 2027, my pricing will increase to help accommodate GST and the continued rising costs of operating my practice.
My new treatment rates will be:
45 minutes — $85
60 minutes — $110
75 minutes — $135
90 minutes — $160
I know everything seems to cost more these days, and I truly do understand how much that affects all of us. I have done my best to keep my pricing as reasonable as possible while also making sure my practice remains sustainable considering my 23 years of expertise.
A Little Housekeeping
I kindly ask that you arrive no more than five minutes before your appointment.
The chairs at the front of my space are not intended to be a waiting room. Between clients, I need that small window of time to clear the space and energy, wash and prepare my tools, breathe, reset, and be fully ready for the next person coming through my door.
I will also be using a timer for my sessions moving forward.
One thing I have had to recognize is how much running over time has affected my own energy and my ability to stay grounded throughout the day. I love giving my clients everything I can, but I also need to become better at respecting my own time and boundaries.
I ask that we both honour the appointment time we have set aside together.
Direct Billing & Payment
I will continue offering direct billing to Chamber of Commerce and Canada Life. I’ll be keeping my laptop at the office so claims can be submitted the same day as your appointment.
Please bring either cash or a card with you in case there is a remaining balance that your insurance provider does not cover.
For clients who choose to pay their treatment fee in cash no receipt, I will also be offering a $10 off treatment price, cash-payment discount.
Communication
As I mentioned earlier this summer, I will begin contacting clients from my waitlist by text, starting with those who fall within the treatment needs described above.
I struggle with answering phone calls because of the volume of scam calls these days, so text and email are the best ways to reach me. You are welcome to message through my booking site, text my phone number, or send me an email.
And finally, thank you.
Thank you to every person who has chosen me and trusted me to be part of their health care over the years. I don’t take that trust lightly.
These changes are about allowing me to continue doing the work I love while also protecting the time, energy, and family life that allow me to keep showing up fully for you.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again.
With gratitude,
Marni Gossner RMT
