Taking care of our mental health also means making room for life's little joys 💚

To mark World Mental Health Day, Cogir residences organized a special day filled with thoughtful gestures to brighten residents' days: photo booths, encouraging messages, special treats prepared by the chefs, and much more. Each residence brought its own creativity to the celebration! ✨

A lovely reminder that well-being is also nurtured through simple gestures, meaningful connections, and moments that make us feel good.

Our residents and staff took some time to reflect on how lucky we are in so many ways. We especially feel grateful to be part of each other’s lives. The community at Sunwood is welcoming, supportive, and inclusive- genuinely a place to feel at home and for that, we are all grateful.

For Thanksgiving we gathered together to enjoy a delicious feast, and the divine camaraderie that enriches our lives.

Wishing everyone the joy and peace that comes from viewing the world with a grateful heart.

Today’s adventure was at one of the most electric museums in BC! We spent the afternoon at BC Hydro’s Powerhouse at Stave Falls. Our excellent tour guide was informative and patient as she addressed all of our curiosities! We enjoyed a trip down memory lane, seeing appliances from years gone by as well as the first electric car. We were awestruck by the power generators and the brave people who built them. The gorgeous day was capped off with ice cream and a drive by Hayward lake and seeing spectacular fall foliage. A truly wonderful fall day!

Along with the end of summer comes the fall harvest. Our gardening group met for one last picking session and took the produce to our culinary team to make mealtime magic! “An open mind is a lantern; it lights paths you never knew existed.” - Sara Mendez
Yesterday we had the pleasure of experiencing a “Sound Bath” with Tracy, from Ohm at Home. For many it was our first time and we all agree that it was a fantastic session. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with information, it was a remarkable discovery to find a new way to feel deep peace and relaxation. So thrilled our residents keep an open mind to try new things - it’s an inspiration to everyone!
