My practice encompasses family medicine ranging from pain management, women's health, diabetes, cardiovascular health and digestive disorders. I am open to any challenge that presents itself as I strongly adhere to the belief that every person has a right to complete and honest health care. The treatments I use are chosen based on what is most compatible and effective for your health. I believe in integrative medicine, which means the use of all types of treatments, including pharmaceutical intervention. My training encompasses in depth understanding of pharmaceutical action on the body while having extensive training on how to support the body and restore balance with alternative medicine. I was recently attacked - twice by the same person - because I offer vaccines in my office. This person I speak to in the video publicly SHAMED me for being a vaccinating Naturopathic Doctor. Her choreographed followers came at me after she made false accusations about me in her videos.

Shaming someone who wants vaccinate may choose to actually vaccinate. I have had a patient who wasn’t sure about vaccinating, was fed fear based information (and wild accusations) from friends who don’t vaccinate, which made her WANT to vaccinate.

And then I have hundreds of patients who have not vaccinated because their provider shamed them for asking questions.

Both sides in this conversation are cruel. I have been the target and have seen how heinous people are simply because I offer vaccines and support families around vaccines. My inbox lit up with vile comments from those who don’t vaccinate.

But because this unlicensed Quebec Naturopath, she helped me shape the idea of creating a Vaccine Education Mastermind. Something I knew I wanted but didn’t know how to articulate my goal. So thanks Jennifer. Your unprofessional behaviour led to a great idea.

Vaccine Education Mastermind. I did it.

This has been a work in progress - creating something in the background for weeks.

When I am on social media, I see all the narratives around vaccines. Anger on both sides. Making fun of both sides. I can see how very pulled everyone can be when it comes to vaccinating.

I was recently the target of a Naturopath in Quebec who shamed me for not vehemently being against vaccines. She wanted me to be like her - which means make fun of people who choose to vaccinate.

Her mob was ANGRY that I support you. They HATE that I create space for you around vaccines.

Newsflash for her and people like her: I will NEVER subscribe to a style that isolates people in the arena of vaccines.

So with that, I have created a Vaccine Education Mastermind. I wanted a space to help you, your friends or your family get CLEAR on their vaccine decisions.

✨ Vaccine Question: Can I get HiB as a single vaccine ✨

The quick answer: yes.

The long answer: your public health authorities may or may not agree to allowing you to do just this one vaccine

What is HiB? Haemophilus influenza type B. It’s a bacteria. Know for causing ear infections, epiglottis, pneumonia to the worse case scenario, meningitis.

Interesting fact: if you have contracted the other haemophilus influenza types, immunity is cross reactive protecting you to Type B.

Canadian Vaccine question - “I want only Tetanus for me child, what is available?”

The answer is: it depends on the age of your child.

In Canada we have the Td (Tetanus Diptheria) vaccine that is the closest to a Tetanus only vaccine. But it is licensed for children 7 years and old.

If your child is under the age of 7, your options are
✨ 4+1 - Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis, and Polio
✨ 5+1 - same as above but add HiB
✨ 6+1 - same as above but add Hep B

Canada only has these vaccines available to you. There is no single Tetanus vaccine in our country.

A vaccine question: is what your Naturopathic Doctor has access to any different than what your Medical Doctor/Paediatrician/Public Health offers.

I started seeing patients specifically around vaccines since 2016 - shortly after moving back from Singapore. Where my journey in the arena of vaccines begun.

With two very specific cases in my office in Singapore, that I and their healthcare team could not answer (Singapore is incredibly progressive and may embrace and at least speak to the reality of interventions and their side effects, unlike Canada), I had no idea how to answer their questions nor know how to help them. As a result, my journey with vaccines began.

I have now supported hundreds families navigating the world of vaccines. And that simply means, answering questions. Just answering. Not treating. Not manipulating them into making a decision. Just answering the darn question.

I don’t skirt away from any question. And I will share with you what Immunize BC gives me. Or the CDC. And what they do not.

I have so many incredible questions from parents that I have decided to answer them for you. One at a time.

This is so you can see - especially if you are a health care provider, what parents WANT to ask, but don’t. No child to adult is going to ask a question when they don’t feel safe. And both sides of the argument can make a person shut down.

The internet is trending on fear. More than ever. And it comes from those that tell you to vaccinate and from those who tell you to not vaccinate. Both sides are mean. And I don’t associate myself with these characters. I learned that very quickly in my career (and personal life).

Now ten years later, the arguments haven’t changed. Just the platform.

I see you. I completely understand what you are going through.
