Welcome to our newest member of the team Melanie Gaudet, MA, RN, RCC. Melanie is a registered clinical counselor and registered nurse dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate emotional challenges with clarity steadiness and compassion. Melanie works with youth, adults and couples and has experience with first responders and healthcare workers. She brings her training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and Gottman method couples therapy to her work. We are very happy to have her on our team. Melanie has Saturday appointments available in our Maple Ridge office and may be booked online at the following link.

We also wanted to share our counselling association the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors is offering a free public webinar on grief and loss following the Lapu Lapu tragedy. ‘Caring for Ourselves and our Communities after Tragic Loss’ on May 01 will offer practical steps to support anyone dealing with the aftermath of the tragedy.

The one-hour webinar will explore various approaches - whether individuals are looking for ways to talk to children about what’s happened or hoping for ideas to manage feelings of worry or overwhelm.
