On May 28, we had the privilege of celebrating Monsignor Lawrence “Larry” Bordonaro’s 50th Anniversary of Ordination. Monsignor Larry was ordained by Bishop Frank J. Harrison at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Westvale, New York, 50 years ago. This special milestone was celebrated exactly as Monsignor Larry wished, surrounded by family, friends, residents, and staff who have been touched by his kindness, guidance, and spiritual leadership throughout the years.
 
Joining the celebration were members of his family from Syracuse, New York, including his brother Carmen, Buddy the Clown, who has entertained audiences across the United States and delighted our residents with a wonderful performance, and his niece Teresa, known for her incredible face and body painting artistry. His great-nephews, Jacob, and Gabe, also shared their musical talents, performing a variety of instrumental pieces that added to the joy of the day. The celebration was made possible through the dedicated efforts of his sister Nancy, who worked behind the scenes to help coordinate the event.
 
For the past 50 years, Monsignor Larry has dedicated his life to serving others and strengthening the faith of countless individuals. We are especially grateful for his continued commitment to our Richview family, where he celebrates weekly Mass and ensures our residents’ spiritual needs are met.
 
Thank you, Monsignor Larry, for your unwavering dedication, compassion, and service. Congratulations on this remarkable milestone and thank you for the many lives you have touched over the past five decades.

Richview Manor and UniversalCare staff proudly supported the walk, joining residents, families, and community members in this important cause. Ray, Richview Manor’s Marketing Manager, attended the event in person, representing the community and offering information to anyone interested in learning more about Richview’s services and commitment to resident wellbeing.
 
It was a day filled with connection, purpose, and shared dedication to supporting hospice care in our community.

We wrapped up our final day of Staff Appreciation Week with a special treat for all of our hardworking staff! Everyone enjoyed delicious meals from the Great Canadian Food Truck along with ice cream to celebrate and say thank you for all that they do each and every day. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful week of appreciation for our incredible staff.

At Richview Manor, we are proud to celebrate Nurses Week all week long with special activities and appreciation events for our incredible staff. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our hardworking and dedicated team members who come to work each day to improve the quality of life of the seniors we serve and their families
 
It takes a very special kind of person to do the work they do with compassion, patience, kindness, and dedication and for that, we are forever grateful.

Richview Manor’s Mother’s Day Lunch was a beautiful celebration honouring the incredible mothers, grandmothers, and mother-like figures in our community. Residents gathered together for a special afternoon filled with delicious food, music, thoughtful gifts, and wonderful company.
 
Guests enjoyed a lovely menu featuring Spring Vegetable Soup, Caprese Salad, and a choice of Mushroom Lasagna with garlic bread and side salad or Chicken Piccata with roasted potatoes and asparagus. Dessert options included Fruit Tart, Lemon Sorbet, or a Fresh Fruit Plate, all paired with a refreshing Aperitivo Spritz.
 
The afternoon was made even more special with live entertainment from Dia, thoughtful gifts for all the women, and a warm visit from Joseph. Thank you to everyone who helped make the celebration so memorable!

These special cookies are part of a heartwarming campaign where 100% of proceeds go toward supporting local charities and community initiatives, making every bite even more meaningful. Residents and staff loved the sweet treat, and even more, the chance to give back. A simple cookie, a big impact, and plenty of reasons to smile!

We were proud to have our General Manager, Satbir, attend the HUB Connections & Exchange Mixer alongside Sara Tripodi, Chair of Seniors Focus, and Julie Gentlecore, General Manager of St. Bernard. The event brought together community senior organizations to connect, collaborate, and learn more about the upcoming opening of the Seniors Focus HUB on April 27th.  It was a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful partnerships and continue strengthening support for seniors in our community

We were delighted to welcome high school students from Country Day School for a special Easter visit! The students brought along beautifully decorated homemade sugar cookies to share, adding a sweet touch to the afternoon. Residents enjoyed friendly one-to-one visits, meaningful conversations, and even a lively game of bingo together. It was a heartwarming intergenerational experience filled with smiles, laughter, and community spirit.
