Professional growth can take many forms.
My practice experience and pride as a Licensed Optician, along with my ongoing work with EssilorLuxottica, have fueled my desire for knowledge and new opportunities. While I considered erasing some laugh lines and taming the grey hair, I recognize that these features are authentically part of my journey. Since 2023, I have enjoyed my role as an appointed committee member with the College of Opticians. The training and in-depth exploration of the Ontario Opticianry landscape have been both rewarding and insightful. I am pleased to be returning for a third term and am excited about what lies ahead.
I have had the privilege of working with many students and interns throughout my journey. Recently, I was honored to be selected as the 2026 Nacor Exam Committee representative during the board meetings held earlier this week. This is another opportunity to learn and grow.
As I say farewell to the Registration Committee, I look forward to returning to Clinical Practice and embracing the learning opportunities in Quality Assurance. These committees help shape practice guidelines and ensure we are doing our utmost to serve the public, our patients.
Thank you to all the staff and my incredible colleagues for another great, productive year. I look forward to 2026!
