Still Leo Season {barely}, Eclipse szn, late Summer mood 🌹🐚💧Ocean swims, River dips, Medicine harvests, plenty of tears + tenderness & giving gratitude for the Summer Rain 🌧️

Presence is the theme that has been guiding ~ it's such an easy word isn't it? Yet, to practice true presence, with all of our humanness, with all of the pulls + noise within these systems, is not always an easy practice. It's one I will forever return to 🌈🦋

And, as always, love ~ as a {Tropical} Leo Sun, Mercury in Leo, Venus in Leo! Love is truly who we are. Not superficial love {colonial ideas of love}, but love that sustains us & reminds us who we are, why we are here.

Love that guides us, gives us courage, determination, to protect + care for all beings here, human & more than human {including ourselves! whew, that self compassion coming through in a big way this week}. Love that resources us bc I know we need it lately. Love that roots our Spirit & clears illusions... ✨

I've been meaning to get this posted for about a week lol, that seems to be how time is moving here. Warp speed 🌀 Trying to soak up these moments, it feels so feeling. Feeling extra tired between eclipses too, anyone else feeling it?

Medicine for the sensitive Heart, awakened Heart, broken Hearts ~ for the warriors, Earth keepers, Land stewards, sensitive ones🌹🐚

For easing our Spirit & nervous systems. Heart Medicines 💕I keep hearing “tend to your Hearts.” Physical & emotional. In TCM Summer correlates with the Heart {tho, we are more in late Summer now} & Leo rules the Heart.

How have your Hearts been feeling? I think many {all?} are tender, an understatement.

We must care for our Hearts. Fall in love with Creation. Finding moments of softness & joy too. Not in spite of grief, but honouring grief, love, our limited time here🍓

Our common language is heard through the Heart ~ communing w Flowers, Trees, Animal kin.

✣Alibizia: “Happiness Tree,” lifts spirit, calming, Star consciousness, helps w low mood/mild depression, analgesic (pain relief)

Been feeling these words this Summer, it feels like it's gone so quick! 💚 Calls to presence. Moving with the pace of Creation, Seasonal shifts, my body vs feeding {colonial + capitalistic} systems & always being on.

I wrote these words the Summer my Dad passed, I wish we had more time to grieve, to just be. Maybe we can make moments, even if in between breaths 🐚✨

"Give me a slow life, one filled with rest, the beauty of tending to life from seed to harvest. Attuned with Creations rhythms.

Moments of pleasure, contentment & connection. Ease filled mornings that linger ~ slowly moving between realms, integrating. Shadows & Rainbow prisms cast by the Sun. Sparkles on Water. Cacao, sweet + bitter.

Give me a life of knowing subtle shifts & changes of Creation. Of being quiet enough to hear the stories held in the Stars, Sandstone. Of listening to wisdom of the Plants. Merging with Creation. The Ocean. Yarrow…

Give me a life with purpose beyond ‘achievements' of the times, purpose that heals generations & ripples harmony + protection + love for generations. For all kin, human & more than human. With meaning that is rooted, tethered to the Earth + Stars. One that serves our original instructions, with courage & grace.

I’ve been sitting a lot with time. With my ‘work.’ With life & what I want, what Creation is asking of me too, my responsibilities & roles. As well what brings joy in this short time here.

As we gain more clarity, more attunement, we may be less & less able to be within dissonance. Many are really seeing + feeling this now.

What is nourishing? For you? For us, as a collective? For Creation, the Land & Water? What nourishes? What is life giving, even when it all falls apart, even in decomposition? Even as systems are dismantled.

Presence calls us 💚

Why do we rush so quickly through? I wish we could remember it's fleeting."

This August, Leo season, I hope we all have the spaciousness needed to move in ways that our bodies need, in rhythms that align. Listening also to when moments call for immediate action. Building capacity.

Leo New Moon + Eclipse love, kin 🌹🐚🌑

Some Plant kin came through yesterday in sitting with these Leo energies (as a natal Leo Sun, Venus & Mercury in Leo).

Leo Szn reminds us to come from our Hearts, from love. Moving with authenticity, in our most aligned self.

Authenticity & intimacy take vulnerability. Trust & courage. Of course Leo is associated w courage ~ courage to be who we are, not what society (colonial, patriarchal, capitalistic ideas) expects of us, or says we “should” be, but who we CAME here to be.

The courage to actually live from our Hearts, from Love. Love that stands up, takes action, resists oppression, harm. Love that moves us to create change we know is possible. And the creativity, strength , determination to make it happen!

Tbh I used to dislike being a Leo, until I shed so much of what society expects & shrinking to "fit in."

Summer says, Love is the antidote 🦋 You ever have those days where your Heart feels so full, like it expands out to every being? 🩷 I love those days. Leo Season, Summer in TCM is a time of tending to our Hearts, embodying this love. Being love.

And, it's easy to forget sometimes too. It also doesn't mean the grief isn't there, the heartbreak, the rage. In fact I think it often has to be all of it ~ it's all woven. We feel it all. {first meme found in my notes app & it stopped me. was a needed reminder, and was written 1 month after my Dad unexpectedly/suddenly passed as his Heart ruptured... so many layers & teachings here}

Flower Magic 🌸🌿🐚 Crafting these Mugwort Flower wands continues to be one of my favourite Summer medicines...

Plant Medicine is art, art is Medicine 🌼 I love to see how they change each year. The colours & textures. The Flowers. The time of year they're made. Each batch is a little different.

They come into being as I wrap them with love, prayers for safety, beauty, protection, harmony, alignment for all kin {human & more than human}🌸 There is responsibility in working with our Plant kin.

Remembering we all carry this wisdom within us. This ability to discern, to hear the Land, the Plants, the Water💧 We have to choose to listen, to practice this deep listening & also take action on what we hear, what the Land shares with us ~ asks of us 🌸💐

Full Moon in Aquarius + Leo season Love, kin 🌕🐚

This last little while has felt extra tender ~ for anyone else? Themes I thought I'd moved through (you think we'd know by now right 🫠) re-emerging as if the Universe, Spirit, is saying "it's not enough to cognitively know, now, you must PRACTICE." Noted 💕

I'm proud of how I moved through it though (is that weird?maybe not during Leo szn lol, it's beautiful when we can give ourselves that love & affirmation), some loss, some major health stuff, some belonging, ancestral trauma, familial wounding sprinkled in... and yet, I found myself still reaching towards, not away.

Isn't it interesting how sometimes we become who we HAVE TO become due to our environments + family/childhood, not necessary because it's who we are? And how painful, beautiful, amazing, tender it is when we are able to drop those roles & truly step into our most authentic selves & medicine...

This time is showing us the power in vulnerability & courage. They are skills we must cultivate, relational skills, including our relationship with the Land, our own bodies, Hearts, one another ✨💚 To truly create the worlds we vision, rooted in actual harmony + care, SAFETY, nourishment for all - human & more than human kin.

Summer & Leo season both correlate with our Hearts. I'll share more on that soon, but a reminder to care for your Hearts kin. Work with your Heart Medicines. Breathe a little into that back Heart space if you can 💕🌸

Time & time again, the Land reminds me who I am 🌹 Orients me back to myself, my path. Clarity.

I heard this reminder driving through so called Montana many years ago. Mountains, Sagebrush, Pines & Yellowstone outside my Dad’s Truck’s window that he let me borrow. The original quote from Robin Wall Kimmerer "the land remembers who you are even when you forget."

Driving alone on my way home after my first solo night since becoming a new Mama. I needed to be on the Land, ‘alone.’

My little one was 2. The day spent in the Mountains, the Water, helped me remember who I am & why I’m here. More recently, I brought my Sun to the Beartooths (last week!) & feel that remembering, renewal, once again.

On hard grief days, on days where you're feeling unsure about it all ~ go to the Land, the Water. To the Tree & Plant kin. Getting clear of the noise. Being. Listening.

The Land helps us remember. The Land remembers us. We remember too. Our Blood Memory awakens as we smell the soil, minerals, moss, the Plants, the knowing that we belong to & are part of the Earth. When we press a seed into the soil, or harvest our dinner. Kinship.

Even if we are displaced from Ancestral Lands, we can still connect - in a good, respectful, way rooted in care for all of Creation (humans included, we have to care for one another, close to home & far) - to the Land that holds us. I believe this itself can be healing as we remember. The Land misses us too.

Reconnecting & remembering who we are. What is means to be human, to be a part of Creation & live in harmony. The Land reminds us. We are so intimately connected to all that is.

When we connect with the Earth, the Plants, Water, we remember that we belong. We remember what harmony & balance may feel like, within ourselves too. To truly care for one another while we are here. Attuning our nervous system to the Land + Elements. We begin to heal.

To reclaim all that has been lost, stolen & taken, and heal ways we may cause harm(s) as well. Returning home to ourselves, to Creation 🌲🌊 {Get outside and share your Heart & listen to a Tree, or the Water this week if you can kin, or even just from a window, xo}
