TIMING out of the hack is imperative for:
•weight control
•balance
•power
•less pain (eps in knees)

Emphasize initiating the kick out of the hack with the big muscles at the hip joint BEFORE the knee.

Just like we don’t throw a ball just from the elbow

And we don’t push a sled just by straightening our knees

The kick out of the hack should be just about straightening the knee!!

It starts at the HIP

Finding more balance in the split squat

= 60% bodyweight over front foot the entire rep!

Being able to speak in groups of words or small sentences tells me the intensity of this long slow run was perfect for building an aerobic base to later build speed & intensity off of later.

Hop into an offseason curling program this summer. This way you don’t have to do any planning or thinking yourself!

A: “Feet out from your hips” = 👎
vs.
B: “Feet push hips & body OVER brush” = 👍

They might look the same in a photo, but if you do A without B you’re not accomplishing the goal.
