Bloating or constipation this Thanksgiving? 🦃 Gentle abdominal massage may help you feel more comfortable.

Our manual osteopath Katie Stanley demonstrates the ILU massage, also called the “I Love You” massage. Its strokes follow the path of your large intestine and may help gas and stool move along.

This self-massage technique may ease constipation and related bloating or gas discomfort. 👀 Watch the demonstration and save it to revisit later.

When your vestibular and visual systems are not working together as well as they should, everyday movement can feel more challenging. Turning your head while walking, looking around a busy store, reading signs while moving, or changing direction quickly may bring on dizziness or unsteadiness.

The exercises demonstrated in this video are examples of gaze stabilization, convergence, and eye-head coordination work that may be used in vestibular rehabilitation. The goal is to gradually help your brain make better use of the information coming from your eyes, inner ear, and body as you move.

A vestibular therapist can assess what may be contributing to your symptoms and choose exercises that match your needs, tolerance, and goals.

What a weekend in Ottawa! 🏃

Lifemark was proud to be on-site at the Canada Army Run, helping participants get ready to hit the course with pre-run prep and supporting their recovery once they crossed the finish line. 💪

A huge thank you to our incredible Lifemark team who showed up, brought the energy, and helped make the weekend such an amazing experience. We loved connecting with participants, supporters, and the Ottawa community throughout the event.

Congrats to everyone who took part! Whether you ran, walked, rolled, volunteered, or supported from the sidelines, thank you for an unforgettable Canada Army Run weekend. 👏

We had a lot of fun doing the 5km Shopper Drug Mart Run for Women in support of Markham Stouffville Hospital's Women's Mental Health Programs.

We are so grateful to have received this recognition from our local MPP, Hon. Paul Calandra, for the hard work our team has done over the past six months!

We are so thankful for the hard work of our frontline and essential workers and are proud of our staff for their dedication to providing quality care for these individuals and our community at large.

Our Lifemark Physiotherapy (Church Street) clinic recently received a letter of recognition for their support for community members in need during the COVID-19 pandemic from Hon. Paul Calandra-MPP for Markham-Stouffville.

We are looking for a certified hand therapist/physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. Our Markham location is an OHIP covered facility as designated by the Ministry of Health. Patients that meet the criteria for acceptance can be treated at this clinic, which is located adjacent to the Markham Stouffville Hospital. This role will include Plastics Clinic coverage at Markham Stouffville Hospital as well as providing follow-up treatment, and implementing post-operative rehabilitation program, for clients in the Lifemark Markham clinic. This role will be approximately 25 hrs.per week with potential for more hours.
