A few photos & words from my time at the Vancouver Island Herb Gathering! I feel very blessed to have been able to vend with one of my oldest friends, Kayla. Kayla and I happened to meet at Christian camp when we were kids, and now we are fully on the green witches path ๐๐ฑ The gathering was held at Innis Free Farm and Botanical Garden. I was in awe of the land and gardens, and all the medicine they make and share. It was truly an amazing experience to get to connect with so many other herbalists, and people who deeply love plants!
One of the best parts of the gathering was all the amazing talks and workshops offered. I feel like a I have a renewed passion for learning, and a drive to keep going deeper into the world of medicinal plants and mushrooms! I also feel very inspired to work towards doing more teaching.
It was also quite a challenging experience. I had to face a lot of my own anxieties, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and struggles to not compare my herbal journey to others. I got to meet a few herbal legends, and this was both exiting and scary!!
On the whole, I am super proud of both Kayla and I for making it happen, and very grateful for the opportunity.
Canโt wait for the next!
