Beth Rutty Yoga

Beth Rutty Yoga These offerings are to serve yoga teachers to embrace and offer their unique gifts. She has taken over 200 hours of Anusara training.

Alignment-based Hatha Yoga

I teach, mentor and support yoga teachers to grow their knowledge, skills and confidence so they can attract, inspire and retain students. Beth Rutty is a Registered Yoga Teacher (500 hours) who has trained in the style of Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga since 1999. In 2007, she discovered Anusara Yoga, founded by John Friend in 1997, and this practice has truly made “her hea

rt sing”. In the Fall of 08, she experienced 3 Anusara Immersions totaling 108 hours. In the Spring of 2009 she completed her Level I & II Anusara Teacher Training in Calgary with Martin and Jordan Kirk and earned the designation of Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher (Dec 2009). She completed a 300 Yoga Therapy course with the amazing Karen Claffey in 2011. She has also just completed teaching a 200 hour Teacher Training with Colin Matthews and Grant Hutchison of Kula Yoga Studios. Each class will take you on a journey of self-discovery as Beth teaches a system of yoga that integrates the celebration of heart, universal principles of alignment and balanced action in the performance of asana. How it all began....

Beth Rutty has always had a passion for life. In 2004, following a 17 year stint as a Fitness Instructor she graduated from the incredible (500 hour) Teacher Training program at The Yoga Centre of Burlington and continues to learn every day she has the opportunity to teach there. In 2003 she completed a 4 day, 24 hour teacher training with Francois Raoult and in the Fall of 2004 travelled to Colorado to study with the amazing David Swenson, Rodney Yee and Roger Cole among others. In the Spring of 2006 she completed a 5 day teacher training with Paul Grilley on yoga of the bones and joints, which has resulted in a more compassionate approach to her students. Beth is a member of Yoga Alliance. To inquire about classes, register or just to talk about yoga, please email [email protected] or call 905.681.1268.

Kirtan at Spirit Ridge North — June 7

You’re invited to a special afternoon of sound, stillness, and connection.

On Sunday, June 7, I’m welcoming Lotus Sound into the studio for an intimate Kirtan gathering at my studio, Spirit Ridge North, Meaford

Kirtan is a devotional chanting practice with roots in India. It’s an invitation to use the voice—whether softly or fully—to connect inward, regulate the nervous system, and share in a collective experience of rhythm, repetition, and sound. No experience is needed. You are welcome exactly as you are.

Before the Kirtan, I’ll be offering a Somatic Reset Practice at no extra cost!

A body-based practice designed to help you slow down and shift out of an activated state, using breath, gentle movement, and rest to support a sense of ease and internal settling.

Schedule:Somatic Reset Practice: 2:30–3:30 PMKirtan with Lotus Sound: 4:00–5:30 PM

About Lotus Sound:Lotus Sound is a Collingwood-based duo, Jay and Justine, who share Kirtan as a heart-opening, inclusive practice. Their offerings blend traditional chants with a grounded, accessible approach that invites both deep listening and participation.
