Growing Through Muddy Waters

Everything that has hurt us,
broken our hearts,
or brought us to our knees
can, in time, become part of our growth.

Grief can deepen our compassion.
Wounds can open our hearts.
Loss can teach us what truly matters.

We are, perhaps, like the lotus.

Rooted deep within the mud,
it rises slowly through the darkness,
reaching toward the light.

The mud does not hinder the flower.
It gives it roots.

So it is with us.

The painful chapters of our lives
can become the soil
from which wisdom grows.
What wounded us
can teach us tenderness.

What challenged us
can teach us courage.
What we survived
can become our strength.

Healing is not about denying the mud,
but looking back with gentler eyes
and recognising how we grew through it.

And one day,
we rise above the surface.

We open.

We bloom.

Not unchanged.
Not unscarred.

But deeper.
Wiser.
More compassionate.

Like the lotus,
we discover that the darkness
was never the end of our story.
