Check out this video, "ways to help kids measure body signals "

This social story helps children and young teens learn how to recognize their body signals and manage big feelings before they become overwhelming. Using the familiar Body Engine idea and feelings zones, this story teaches kids how to notice body clues like tight muscles, fast breathing, or loud voi...

The perfect pairing…
A coaching program for moms to reduce heightened emotions, build nervous system awareness and help you find more joy.
Plus
Safe and sound listening protocol to massage your vagus nerve helping you think, feel and connect better.
Plus
Creative exploration because we all need more of that.

I put this offer together back in September/October not know that I would be needing it most of all. I have complete 2 rounds of safe and sound protocol since my health issues started back in October. I’ve paired it with movement, red light therapy, exercises, and art to help me stay regulated.

Stop for a second … I wanted to introduce/ reintroduce myself and share something cool

Hi, I’m Erin. ❤️

I’m an occupational therapist, nervous system and sensory nerd, mom, adventurer, and someone who believes healing and growth happen best in real life — not just inside clinic walls.

For years, I thought my role was to help “fix” challenges.
Fix the meltdowns.
Fix the behavior.
Fix the overwhelm.

But over time — both professionally and personally — something shifted.I’ve been off for a few months.

I started realizing that the biggest changes don’t happen in therapy rooms alone.
They happen in everyday moments.

On hikes.
At the lake.
During hard transitions.
Through movement, play, connection, safety, and shared experiences,…in real life.

I’ve become deeply passionate about helping families move from simply surviving each day to actually enjoying life together again.

That’s where the idea of Regulation Through Real Life was born. ❤️

A space where kids, parents, caregivers, and helpers can learn, grow, connect, and build confidence and emotional skills through meaningful real-life experiences.

Less focus on “fixing.”
More focus on participation, connection, confidence, and joy.

I’m dreaming up experiences that may include:
✨ family connection
✨ outdoor adventures
✨ nervous system support
✨ play and movement
✨ parent coaching
✨ support for aides/helpers
✨ real-life integration

Honestly, this feels like the most aligned direction my work has ever taken.

Still evolving. Still dreaming. But excited for what’s ahead.

Follow along and tell me where you’re joining from.

Closing one chapter… and passing the keys to the next 🤍

In April 2018, this was just an idea—one I wasn’t even sure would work. A crowdfunding campaign helped bring it to life, and by October, the sensory bus was on the road.

From Pincher Creek to the Crowsnest Pass, Claresholm, Nanton, and Piikani… and later in Medicine Hat—this bus became so much more than a clinic. It was preschool visits, school programs, daycare support, OT sessions, and even “mom breaks.”

It was laughter, regulation, connection—and a lot of climbing that rope to sign the ceiling. (We’re guessing over 500 names up there 💛)

This bus brought me so much joy. And while it’s bittersweet to let it go, I know it will continue to serve families and communities under new ownership.

Thank you for being part of this chapter, for your support, and for the memories. ❤️

Same mission. New chapter.

Visit for your upcoming needs. Birthdays, pop up play, special events, school/daycare visits.

Learning about toileting. I’ve been approaching it wrong! The toilet doesn’t come into play until phase 3.

I took a self care trip this weekend and I didn't know how much I needed that. Where are all the moms, OTs,... who need a break?

I’m using the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) to prepare my nervous system for surgery 🤍

Surgery isn’t just physical—it’s neurological.
SSP uses specially filtered music (based on Polyvagal Theory) to help the nervous system shift toward safety, calm, and regulation.

Why it matters:
✨ Less anxiety
✨ Better emotional regulation
✨ Improved sleep + recovery
✨ Support before & after medical procedures

SSP is non-invasive, gentle, and customizable when guided by a trained provider (that’s me).
This isn’t about pushing through fear—it’s about helping the body feel safe enough to heal.

Keep following for nervous system prep + recovery tools 🤍

Comment SAFE if you want to learn more about this tool.
